or at least the two biggest stories that the producers want to advertise.

sansa character has proved weak several times. We will see.

Blondie.. i'm just not interested any more. sorry but she's set up as the great good hop ending slavery and being all regal but its like.. can you dream up any more ways to stop her doing anything while you assemble her cabinet in exile around her and get on with other stories to fill time?

Thees supposedly 8 series or something. so s6 should be a bit soon for any progress for her. i might be wrong.

I think the other stark lad with the broken back will be in this one far more but ewe will have to see about the witch and the curly mopped bastard stark whos supposedly actually the dead kings son.. etc etc.

    ....

you are right valley.. sansa was not the one pumped form behind in the books. the producers clearly felt it was better to go that way on TV and that got all the feminists up in arms.

They purposly left the important part about JS out of the tv series. If there's a Tower of Joy scene you'll understand what I mean. Robb Stark is a minor character compared to Jon Snow.

yes but the TV show set up rob stark as a huge character... in the end the whole is he or isn't he stuff about jon snow is a classic novelists ploy so for him to end up stabbed at this point would be uttelry pointless.

I think they 'bigged up' Rob Stark to show the similarities between the both in terms if brave, bold and leaders in their own rights.
But the main reason imo is to highlight that Robb Stark died because he broke his oath/vow, whereas, Jon kept his oath/vow by remaining in the Nights Watch. Yes, he's been betrayed by some if the NW but when he comes back, not only will the North rally to his side but also the Wildlings under Tormunds command as they respect him as he does the right thing morally, and he does not break his vows. That's why he had to die to leave the Nights Watch and be reborn as Jon Stark/T******* - if my theory is right.
The North, Wildlings and The Vale under Sansas command would destroy the Boltons and their allies.

There's also a vital scene in the book between Jon Snow and Melisandre that they have not shown in the show too.

I think the tv guys knew the red wedding was going to be huge so the bigging up of rob stark

    a) gave them a good guy for the first 3 seasons
    b) let them set up the others like blondie and jon snow as less important and while the needed to grow they imply needed to be engaging too on tv.

In books its about political intrigue and the game as they say but you don't really need a big good guy to focus round par se. I mean the amount of fan girls wanting mother stark to rise form the dead after the red wedding was hilarious.

I do agree. rob stark broke his vow.. so bad things happen. stanis breaks his role as father dies alomost immediately. Both lose support of their forces and end up in bad places as a result.

Your theiry should be the right one by consensus.. and the one that the TV show needs.

Talking about Snow, hopwfully Robert Baratheons bastard will come back into the story. I could see him and Arya/Sansa ending up together thus merging the Starks, Wildlings and the North, Baratheons, Vale and the Ts to crush the Lannisters then focus on the White Walkers. I also think the Night King is a Stark too.

LOL...there's talk mother Stark does come back in this series.....

Don't think the series has done as well with Blondie as the books. As someone else said the overarching theme of the books is power corrupts everyone even those who go in with good intentions...her personal battle is swinging from authoritarian to liberator and what the unintended consequences of each stance bring about.

They've also missed a couple of mini battles out which might have brought a little more action to her series story...cost I suppose.

As I mentioned, I watched Trainspotting for the first time in about 15 years last night. Stands the test of time what a great film, looking forward to the new one now.

Blondie is a little psychotic in the books imo. I can see her ending up losing the plot in the books but not sure they'll go that route in the tv show.

The superhero crowd will be in later and you'll get the boot.

I'm open to GOT picking up and becoming good again, really hope it happens but I'm not very confident that it will.

there is a general accusation of doing women down in this show. sansa has been made very weak. blondie is a bit of a joke in my eyes mostly. The red witch burning kids etc etc. The feminists hate it.

O think jon snow will rise and will lead not sansa personally.

    blondie is just.... well annoying

I think they did a filler year. I think the chapters published by martin have already been eaten so

    a) he's got to get the book out

    b) they have to go full bore.

Theres several bits still to be done and mentioned above.
