Alreet Stag? Owz stuff? Well, the wife went for her scan today - they 'think' it's ovarian cysts, but can't be sure. More tests needed. For ****'s sake, why can't things be simple? I don't need this **** - she's not worried (apparently) but now I'm thinking all kinds of horrors. Hopefully turn out to be nowt, but it won't be a pleasant wait. She's off out for dinner tonight so it's me, The Fighter on Blu-ray & several LARGE glasses of wine. Need them...
Don't worry about the cysts mate - my missus has had them before and they are nothing to worry about. Apparently something like 90% of women will have them at some point, so it's pretty much like she has a cold (that's how my wife explained it anyway!). I know it's a ****er with them being "inside" and so you can't see them or be certain about it, but don't drive yourself mad worrying about them. Best wishes to the wife for a speedy recovery.
Cheers Swarbs, that makes me feel better mate. Good to hear they're so common. I'm just the sort who always fears the worst - I think it's hard-wired into my DNA. It's typical that just as we're making radical changes to our lives with regard to me giving up work for a few years, another uncertainty is lobbed into the mix. Oh well, can't always have it smooth I suppose. So you reckon we'll sign another one? I'm hoping that Sneijder is it - give us another dimension. Add to the effectively functional setup we've got in the CM department. He'll bring a bit of fantasy, but we still need a box-to-boxer & I'm hoping that Anderson will up his game. He's pure class when he fancies it.
Sounds like we're still in the market, but honestly everything depends on the selling club. We could offer £100m and £500k a week for Sneijder, but if he wants to stay at Inter and they don't want to sell him it won't make a difference. I reckon we'll get a new CM, but it may well not be one of the obvious suspects, and may work out better as a result. After all, when we got Ronaldo everyone predicted we'd get Ronaldinho, likewise when everyone thought we were in for Shearer we ended up with Sheringham. Wouldn't change either of those to be honest
