I thought on that mini-documentary they did, Hayden came across really well, but Akpom came across as being thick as ****.
"Akpom, who has represented England Under-21s, has been turning heads since he arrived Hull at the beginning of the campaign. He got a goal on his debut for the Tigers against Huddersfield, barely four days after completing his loan move from Arsenal, and has added four more strikes thereafter, with a hat-trick against Bury in an FA Cup tie in January one of his highlights at the KC Stadium." so he's scored in three games and it's only mid-april. they're easily impressed at goal.com.
Can't argue with that, but the other comments on here are off the mark- he explained why he acted like a dick and apologised for it. People are too quick to judge.
Wasn't Hayden having some issue with his dishwasher that was too much for him too handle? Both of them are just kids
I'd go as far as to say, that under Bruce we will not get another Arsenal youngster in the near future. When Haydyn played 2 consecutive games Bruce said ' he'd sign him tomorrow' he's been polishing boots since then.
Another comment from Hayden I seem to remember was that he was wary of moving up North as he thought it would be really cold, this is from a lad living 200 miles away. I think either him or Akpom rely on a local chef to cook their meals too. Babies not hardened pros
Not as far as I'm aware, he's not been on the bench since Derby, but I think it's just because we're not missing many and he's not getting picked.
Including the hat trick he's scored 7 including the winner over Bolton! http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=68532
