Ofcourse il be gracious in defeat, though I'm supremely confident il be proved correct again.

You're argument doesn't make alot of sense, if you think Don Cossack would have beaten him at Kempton and at Cheltenham if both stood up, then how can you fancy Cue Card at Punchestown?

I'm not making an argument for Cue Card I just prefer the horse have backed him all season and have never backed Don Cossack so I'll be sticking with him that's all. I don't think there's much between the pair and if they both stay upright at Punchestown it should be a great finish to the race. It's hard to say what would have happened in either King George or Gold Cup but watching the KG, Don Cossack had me really worried before falling and looked to be coming to take the race. In the gold cup Cue Card looked to be cruising but my opinion is Don Cossack would have stayed better with the finish at Cheltenham being what it is. Just opinions but that doesn't mean id have been right had they stayed upright. Punchestown is a different race on a different track so nothing is certain. All we can hope for is they both stay on there feet and both finish and may the best horse win

Boys, boys, boys. Forget your Don Cossacks and your Cue Cards, Vautour does the pair of them <monster>

In the 5% chance he runs, that is <laugh>

I think I'll join the Cue Card camp this time if it's nice ground. Think he's a bit too much toe for the Cossack myself over this C & D.

Back to the snooker is it just me has an irrational dislike for Ali Carter? Massive respect to him as a man in battling and (hopefully) beating the b C for good but setting that aside, as a snooker player, I really, really think he's a stroppy wee twat. Was really hoping the Bingham would beat him last night.

First time in years i've not had a bet on the world championship, my usual bets are selby and robertson, bit boring really but will get a run for your money.

Quick mention for anthony mcgill who beat shaun murphy this morning. He's actually a friend of a friend(yes one of those ones) and i've met him a few times, such a nice guy and was really happy to see him get that win. He plays marco fu next, he can be a bit hot and cold in his matches, could be a good chance of reaching a quarter final here.

Good scalp for him, McGill has definitely brought his game on the past 24 months I think and like you say when he's on his game a match for anyone as his defeat of Selby last year will show.

I look forward to seeing this toe Cue Card is going to show as he's never shown it before in there other 4 meetings

Will be easy pickings for Don Cossack, it's quite funny how daft so many are on here <laugh>

Still it creates value in the market for me, I rely on the mugs creating value in the market for me. Keep backing those ****e horses<laugh>

Im so confident. The Don will not lose at Punchestown

What, not even the King George he beat Cossack in?!

For the record, it's not really an argument I'm that bothered about getting into Shergs, just pointing out Cue Card has one win against Don Cossack, which you seem to forget, talking about 3-0 on another thread too ... <ok>

Cue Card only holds a victory when Don Cossack fell, where as Don Cossack holds 2 victorys when Cue Card completed, and 1 when Cue Card fell.when both complete The Don wins simple as

Cue Card 1 Don Cossack 3. Will be Don Cossack 4 after Punchestown

McGill gave Murphy a tough game last year in the quarters, and beat Selby before that from what I remember, so no suprise he's upset the odds.

I do like Murphy a lot as a player though, he just goes for everything, I don't think there's a braver player around. Ashame he's out.

Can see McGill having a good run in the tournament now though.

This is very horsey for a snooker thread? Been a fair sort of snooker player in my time, nowhere near as good as, ahem, KingShergar of course, but this has to be one of the most amazing snooker get-outs I've ever seen, by Ricky Walden. Tight against the green, talk about knowing the angles. Terrific play:

........and he snookered his opponent behind the black, bloody hell!

(He did even better than the graph forecast shot?).
