One season I don't particular care where they end up. This isn't about them anyway. This whole season has been one Arsenal failure after another. Failure to spend in the right areas. Tactical errors on the pitch. Consistent injuries to key players. Stubbornly persisting with out of form players or players in the wrong position. Failure to turn up for big games. Key players not performing when it counts. Wasted opportunities when opposition teams have dropped points. I could go on and on.
Everything AW has done in the last decade has ruined the legendary status he has/had, in my opinion. People will probably erect a statue of him and others will talk about how much of an amazing manager he's been and his longevity for the club, but those sentiments will not be echoed by me. Being a manager of a club for a long time should not equate to legendary status. You should assess how well that manager has done. His fantastic first 10 years have been offset by the last 10. And for me, you can't be a true legend of the game for doing an average/subpar job for 10 years at one place. People won't like this comment and will probably think I'm a massive twat for saying it, but I don't give a damn. He is not a legend anymore, in my eyes.
As much as it pains me to say it, I have to be honest and say I've lost what little faith I had in Wenger's leadership (and so I am sure, have many others). Its reached a point where you almost don't care when Arsenal do win because you know they'll f*ck it up at some point, which makes raised hopes utterly pointless. Reached the end of the road for me.
Agreed,I think this season is the one that really has knocked what little hope people had out of them.
The game that stands out for me is West Ham at home. It's more than just blatant errors, however. I feel he doesn't have the same command of his area like at his peak. Like I said, he's obviously a good goalkeeper still but your weird infatuation with putting your players on the "world class" pedestal is again misguided in this instance.
Two FA Cup wins in two years and you lot still moan and say you've under-achieved. Prior to Wenger Arsenal fans would have been delighted with that return. The man is a victim of his own early success.
You've got to take it in perspective though... He's keeping us above West Brom and Sunderland which is something we should be happy with as things could be worse.
All this post shows is that you don't understand why we're frustrated and why an increasing number of people want him to leave. You can label him as a victim of his own success if you want (which is preposterous by the way), but it won't change the fact that he's made a plethora of errors and mistakes in the last decade which has hindered our team's progression. Losing the league title to either you or Leicester is a sackable offence in itself.
The one that wears an arsenal tracksuit, an arsenal hat, arsenal head phones and drinks from an arsenal bottle every 3 or 4 seconds? Funniest bloke on the net imo
