70 apps and 2 goals for us from 2009 to 2014- never nailed it really and a very low goals return. Talent in abundance but weight, speed and mobility questionable.
Another players talent not utilised by Bruce, add him to the list. 2 or 3 years down the line when Hayden and several others are doing the business we will be thinking what was going on here the last few seasons
I think we might get £8 million if lucky for Robertson which means 6.4 to us…. £5 million for Hernandez and we might get the £3 million for Diame. I can also see Livermore going for about £3 million, Daws for about £2.5 million and Aluko for about £1.5 million. I believe many of the rest are out if contract. Thats a total circa £22 million. It'll also be a significant amount of money off the wage bill. That will all change of course when we win the play offs… !!!!
How much of that woud we see invested in our rebuilding though? Livermore would go for more than £3m, he's English and he's decent. WBA paid £8m for Chester, I imagine we'd get more for Livermore. Or at least demand more.
I think the ceiling on his value is £5 million I really do Sterling and if we don't get promoted with reduced parachute payments we may have to take nearer to what I said. We'd need all of it to go again I think..
Because he's gone backwards.?... we bought into his potential and IMO it hasn't been realised… I actually don't think that all his bulking up has done him any favours in terms of his mobility. Sure, great to be able to muscle someone off a ball in midfield, but this can also be achieved with skill and speed and I don't think he has that in his game. He certainly doesn't have an eye for goal, or a shot in him or in my opinion a telling pass.. Doesn't mean I don't like the lad, I personally think he's limited to what he brings to the table.
I don't keep a spreadsheet of former players' weights or their BMIs, but he looked podgy for us, not like the svelte player now at Fulham. Apologies if you're a bit 'well-covered' yourself.
Any money coming in will pay off our debts.the owners are obviously struggling to finance the club and are getting desperate.cant see any money for signings at all if we stay in the championship
no doubt Meyler, Elmo and Junior will follow Brucie when he ****s off - that should save a few thousand each week on the wage bill so the next manager can to go out and get some decent players
Getting rid of Cairney was good business at the time, so let's not have that, "if only we hadn't sold him," line! Also anyone who thinks we'll get money for Aluko, he's out of contract, unless I missed that one!
