The ref wanted to be centre of attention and he was. Vardy's 1st booking was a joke Vardy penalty neither was a dive or a penalty, he should have just played on West Ham kept diving around the box for free kicks because they know what Payet can do Reid penalty was very soft but its the inconsistency that annoy me more then that pen Huth's was a pen and Schlupps wasnt The ref was a monumental bellend and ruined the game as a spectacle due to his thirst for being in the spotlight
On the game everyone had a good solid game without anyone really standing out, I thought Leo played the best he has all season
Lets hope he plays even better when he starts next game - him and Okazaki worked well together in the cup games earlier in the season.
We won't know how good a point that was until tomorrow If Stoke get a draw or even win then tonight was massive and the title race is as good as over. If Spuds win then its 2 points dropped by us
Well, we won & they (Spurs) drew a few weeks ago so if they win tomorrow it´ll be as you were with 3 games less to play. Just trying to soften the blow abit.
On Vardy , it was a penalty .....period . Everything goes from there . Not only did Leicester not get a spot kick , but Vardy got a yellow / Red ......Like I say , it was a penalty for Leicester, all other reprecussions should have followed .
Swans up next .. and before we get all gloomy Vards was played out wide against them last season and it was Leo and Kingy that netted ... indeed Mahrez and Drinky were on the bench ... and, if you recall, Leo only played because Nugent got injured in the warm-up ... whilst of course I'd love to have Vards playing, we are by no means a one man team and we have a far stronger squad than we did this time last season ... keep the faith lads ... anyone who didn't think we'd have a couple of twists before the end was kidding themselves frankly ... but we showed the attitude and commitment that might just see us across the finishing line ... keep the faith ....
Arsenal can only draw against 16th place Crystal Palace ... a point against West Ham not looking so bad now ... everyone will be nervous in every game from now on ... looking forward to the Stoke v Spurs game ... think it will be a very tense affair ...
I'd be tempted to start with Schlupp up with Okasaki so we can play the same style but i doubt that will happen.
I'm not at all worried about the Swansea game because Vardy is out - in fact I bet Swansea are more worried as they don't know how we will line up and play. For one of the first time this season we will be unpredictable to the opposition.
Would be Dodoo instead - tried Schlupp as a striker before and he is much better out wide. Would like to see Ulloa and Okazaki again though - they worked well in the cup games and preseason.
Spurs will demolish Stoke - if Butland wasn't out then I would reconsider but I can't see anything past a big win for Spurs. TBH I can't see them losing any of their games either - Chelsea have been found out and Southampton have nothing to play for so we need to get 8 from 12 to win.
... how would you feel if we were playing Stoke away tomorrow? ... they are like West Ham in the sense that they have some very talented individuals ... plus they have some bite ... Stoke will also be roared on by one of the most passionate crowds in the Prem ... can't see this being a pushover for Spurs ... think it might get quite tasty ...
Passionate crowds that can be quieted like we did - they were 2-0 up at half time and we took it to 2-2 and nearly nicked it. They have good players like Arnartovic, Shaquiri and Bojan are brilliant but can they do it on a wet Monday night in Stoke?
I think pundits already writing it off as a Spurs win, this will only help Stoke by giving something for them to prove and heaping pressure on Spurs to actually win it. I had today penned in as a draw anyway, and its not as if it has put us totally out of contention for the title, we'll still be at least 5 points ahead, it will be a reverse of the week they drew at pool recently.
We have options this year. Demarai Gray or Jeff Schlupp could come in and push Mahrez behind the striker. Leo was superb today and took the peno confidently. Shinji impressed at Spuds in the cup when he was leading the line instead of being the 2nd striker Jeff Schlupp is probably the closest we have to Vardy so he could play as the striker Or if Ranieri really wanted to (he wont) there is a recall on Andrej Kramaric
