That was the only time I did high protein diet... I like chips, potato and pastry too much for doing that often!!
Good news, weird character but whacked out some great tunes. Glad we won't be referring to him again as the artist formerly known as Prince. Come on saints, a win at Everton and let's party like it's 1999.
Great laps from Rosberg and Ricciardo but Ferrari really cocked that up. Have noticed that Hamilton now only speaks in cliches - "these things are sent to test us but we win together, we lose together". Oh bore off!
That council in Bristol are a disgrace for wanting to charge for Parkrun - don`t they know it`s the Aberdonians who are supposed to be mean and miserable ?. Do you know it is the year 2073 in Nepal ? - I wouldn`t have known that if I didn`t know a guy from Nepal through Parkrun.
After seeing The Big Short the other night, I had a liking for another film made about the mortgage/banking crisis in the USA. After consulting Mark Kermode I decided to watch a drama called Margin Call [2011] This one apparently crept under the radar when it came out and I'm not quite sure why.. It stars Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Zachary Quinto, Stanley Tucci, Jeremy Irons, Demi Moore,.Penn Badgley, Simon Baker and others, so it's packed with a star cast. The story takes place over a working day and half within an investment firm where a whole floor of traders, plus a department boss are, are sacked. The boss is well respected and one of the retained analysts follows him to the lift where the boss passes a memory stick and the advice, be careful. Later, the analyst decides to take a look at the memory stick and finds a bomb of data that will eventually decimate the business district. Unlike The Big Short, there are no dark laughs or distractions in this one. To some extent it obscures the financial problem and sticks to the tense drama, but that's no real problem because the story is interesting enough. In its own way this film shows how investment firms exposed themselves to high risk but made sure they survived while ordinary people lost. And they show little or no remorse too. Another recommended.
Saudi Arabia threatens to sell US assets if blamed for 9/11 WASHINGTON — Saudi Arabia has told the Obama administration and members of Congress that it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the kingdom if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in American courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The Obama administration has lobbied Congress to block the bill’s passage, according to administration officials and congressional aides from both parties, and the Saudi threats have been the subject of intense discussions in recent weeks between lawmakers and officials from the State Department and the Pentagon. The officials have warned senators of diplomatic and economic fallout from the legislation. Adel al-Jubeir, the Saudi foreign minister, delivered the kingdom’s message personally last month during a trip to Washington, telling lawmakers that Saudi Arabia would be forced to sell up to $750 billion in treasury securities and other assets in the United States before they could be in danger of being frozen by American courts. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/04/1...mic-fallout-if-congress-passes-9-11-bill.html
Hang on, does this mean no roast beef on the 1st? Tell you what, we'll all have beautifully rare fillet and you can have a nice bean salad. Vin
No, I feel that for your health's sake you'd be better off with a plate of greens. It wouldn't be fair of me to force rich food onto a man with gout. I'm sure Fat Jr will enjoy his rare prime fillet beef. We'll let you know how good our meals are, I assure you, which will be almost as good as eating it yourself. Vin
Thankfully I have not suffered from it but sounds really painful. Hope you are feeling better soon mate. It's not a laughing matter but does remind me of an old Tommy Cooper joke that went something like I went to the doctors the other day, I said I've got this awful pain and swelling in my big toe, He said gout I said but I only just got here.
Good luck. Am on allopurinol for life. Most painfull thing I have ever had, worst was when I had it in both ankles at the same time. Thankfully not had an attack in several years.
Tried to look at SFC twitter account but entered Saints twitter instead of Southampton twitter and I got the twitter account of St Kilda's...only in Ireland On the radio they are discussing the debt problems of people spending vast sums on their children's first communion. They also provide a list of funerals on the local radio and where the coffin is starting from.
