Which makes no difference if people in there sit silently as if at a theatre.

European stadiums all have partial roofs? Really? Some of the noisiest have no roof. The loudest ever decibel, count at a football match was at a game in Turkey in a stadium with no roof and only a capacity of about 35,000.
As I said in another post, I was watching Boca Juniors last night. A large, open stadium. And one with more noise than any small, intimate stadium irrespective of the roof or construction materials used.

Of course it makes no difference if people are silent. I'm saying that acoustics accentuate the noise and the link supports my view.
Of course a large crowd made up of mainly poor people paying a cheap price to watch football with a tradition of noisy atmosphere will make more noise than in a stadium with seats.

I don't use a free bus pass. As for prescriptions you don't have to be an OAP,to get them. Over 60, on certain benefits, have particular illnesses. Very few pay them. The point is the assumption all pensioners are poor and would struggle to pay for a ticket is wrong. Same as the assumption that you need help up to 22. Plenty of people of that age have more money to call their own than their parents do after they have paid all the bills. The problem is that there isn't a one fits all situation.
Doubtless you jump on anyone who mentions the situation where very rich people get winter fuel allowances or free TV licences purely because of their age and say it needs looking at.

Seats are irrelevant. Boca Juniors has seats. Noisy cauldrons in Turkey, .Greece and elsewhere have seats.Stadiums in the former communist countries have a lot of places which are concrete bowls with no roof but make a deafening noise.
A relative handful of fans from Lokeren made more noise than our fans last year. Funny how the acoustics seem to pick up away fans better than home ones at the KC. Fans from Antwerp could be heard from the North Stand. And others in there for friendlies. It is allmdown to how many join in and unfortunately we don't have many.

The whole point about concessions isn't that it helps the "customers". It's about being able to set a price point that increases revenue. If everybody paid the same then the club would get less revenue because less people could afford the price. The club can set a series of classes of supporters to maximise revenue.
I agree that the club may not see that as their main objective. They will want to encourage young fans to support the club for years to come. They may also want to reward people who have supported the club for a long time with cheaper prices.

Do you realise what he said? Or do you need irony or sarcasm smileys to point it out?

Stop press! Noisy fans make more noise than quiet fans.
The acoustics are poor at the KC.

I don't disagree. I am just saying that a one size fits all approach isn't necessarily accurate. Which is why the new membership scheme is ill judged.
I have merely being pointing out that age is not necessarily an indication of ability to pay or otherwise.
How do the club know which older people have supported the club fir a long time? They have never kept records. There aren't that many unless some of the crowds at BP were very inaccurately counted.

Assuming those already in the South stand are there by choice, and don't move now that they don't have to (and will be getting the cheapest seats), that doesn't exactly leave a lot of free space. I remember when I moved to the South in 14/15 there were very few spaces for two and I don't remember any for three or more. This being the case the suggestion that people with kids or other concessions could move there is in reality a load of bollocks.

I currently go with my 8 yr old son. For the 2 of us in zone 2 it would be £648 so about £40 more, but to stay in zone 3 it would be over £200 more.

Last year's price rises almost stopped me going, and I refuse to pay an extra £40/£200 when so many games are missed as my son doesn't go to midweek night games. I can't afford to pay for both of us to go next season, and if I get a ticket for myself that rules out taking him to even occasional games, and I have enjoyed the father/son football days.

I think that's it's no season ticket for us, so that's 2 fans and £600+ lost. We might go to the odd game but I imagine match day tickets will be stupidly priced as well so probably won't bother.

I haven't said the acoustics are poor at the KC. I have heard some of our fans saying they were better in away areas which is why away fans made more noise. Now things have altered around they say the acoustics are now better in the area home fans were previously in.
Don't be daft, Pete. Of course noisy fans make more noise than quiet ones. The issue is why we don't have many noisy ones. Acoustics, good or otherwise, are irrelevant if people aren't opening their mouths.

Its a bonus for me too. Even more so if i move from my expensive seat. I keep thanking the lad for subsidising me like this. But them I'm subsidising him as i buy his ticket. So I'm thinking of not subsidising him. Win win.
We should also stop doing operations on anyone over 65.
Also any children who are ill should be left out in the woods overnight. If they survive till the next morning then all well and good. If not it wasnt meant to be.
Save the NHS a fortune that.

I doubt that people aged 65 are suddenly going to support Hull City.

People who don't use apostrophes when they are required should be sentenced to a decade or two of hard labour in a gulag as well.
