Tuesday is going to be a HUGE day for us. All five teams going for the second and third spots will be away; and all away to teams lower in the league. Hartlepool (16) v Accrington Stanley(4) Leyton Orient(10) v Plymouth(5) Newport(22) v Oxford(2) Stevenage(21) v Rovers(3) York(23) v Portsmouth(6) Newport, Stevenage and York will be fighting to preserve their league status. Very unlikely that all five away teams will win!
Hartlepool have a good home record recently. I am expecting this to be a tough game for Accrington. I think Accrington could drop points here. Orient away for Plymouth will be tough so soon after a big battle with Portsmouth today. Plymouth could easily drop points here. On paper, both us and Oxford should pick up the 3 points here. Key word 'should', I would put a bet on both us and Oxford getting 3 points, Accrington getting a draw and Plymouth losing. If Portsmouth had won today, then they would be 3 points behind us with a game in hand. Portsmouth losing today however, for me, counts them out of the top 3 running. So im missing them out. But if they do beat York tomorrow, that would relegate York, meaning both York and Dag & Red would be down before we play them therefore they wont be fighting for their lives against us. We will have to find out of its a good thing or not!
If they are both relegated the players could be playing for new contracts and the could make them more determind
Have you noticed how influential Wycombe could be to the final outcome? They are lying just outside the play-offs in 8th place with 63 points. If they win their remaining games they could end up with 75 points. Their last three games ? 23 April A Portsmouth 30 April H Accrington Stanley 7 May A Oxford United. Ironic really, given the final day of the relegation season! C'MON WYCOMBE!
York had a player sent off in the 35min that could affected todays result If we win all our games which we should be able to do with the spirit that's in the team then it shouldn't matter what the other sides do
Don't be so arrogant we're not up yet and opposition fans are getting in a piss about these sorts of threads so please stop your BS or you will be banned forever.
It's always been 'Ifs and but's but If we can win this evening and again on Saturday then I think the fat lady might be loosening up her laranyx.
