Good ideas, but they will never be taken up unfortunately. Regarding flags, look at the size of the Fortmund ones and the poles they use compared to what is allowed at the KC.

If each stand was the same price, but with a statement of what type of support each stand is aimed at, do you reckon people would pick an appropriate stand, or would everyone gravitate to the presumably better (as it's more expensive) west?

Bloody hell that was way too easy, but to fair, the fight was not worth the effort.

Just insults and no denial, no contrition.

I doubt there is much of an age difference between us, definitely not enough to give you any sort of an edge (I'd wager on that :emoticon-0105-wink:); that really is the refuge of a fool and a coward on here. You have no idea which games I go to and which games I don't, but that and my age seems to really matter to you and your 'like' chum; it bothers me not one iota what you think about that. I don't Troll, I discuss, I deal in FACTS (I've copied that from Chazz), you struggle with them - no that's not true, you ignore them, as they are otherwise known as truth and you are not too familiar with that are you?

But let's have a bit of history from when it was released and let's be reminded about how you use things and change things to your own bog nasty ends:

    On you go ...

    :emoticon-0159-musicTrue colours shining through ...:emoticon-0159-music

Hoorah for that one, Snigger, you really excelled yourself :emoticon-0148-yes:

    A snippet from me

You decided to educate us all

Do I really have to go back to when you denied saying "Well I like it. It'll save me money. As it will my mates."?

Of course that was your right, no body tells you how to spend your money ...

... but then you denied it and demanded an apology - but guess what, you did post it, I reposted it and you ...

    ... disappeared.

Welcome back, it's good to have such an upright board member who tells us all how to be. <doh>

It has had 12 years to develop naturally and nothing has changed. People don't like change, never will. Maybe the radical appoach is the only way it will happen?

To be fair, Filey, many of us pensioners have more disposable income than people in their 20s,30s and 40s with families and mortgages. My lad works up to 60 hours a week and has less money left over to spend on himself than his mortgage free dad with his state and private pension. Same with some 16-22 year olds. Of course this doesm't apply to all. Don't know what the answer would be short of means testing.
The one group that should be given concessions are the young ones.Firstly because they don't have income of their own and it is ever more expensive for parents to pay for themselves and kids, and secondly, and more importantly, they are the fans of the future.

I would always gravitate to the one with atmosphere or where it seems I would be with people more my type.
i.e. likes to stand up and sing, so E1-E3 as it was, then the North Stand.
I would still choose these places if they were the same price as the West Stand.
I think the demographic distribution at the KC is fine as it is.....
Singers in the North Stand/East Stand, families south, and the posh and old buggers in the West (no offence meant).
Everyone knows there prefered places already.
Which is why this memberships scheme is bonkers.
They simply need to bring the prices down by around 30 - 40% across the board and people would come back.

It hasn't been allowed to develop though has it? The initial period people were finding their feet and their preference, but some things got changed, so the settling started again.

Some things were starting to happen in the NE corner, which was ****ed over when they jumped in without asking enough people, and they killed it almost dead.

But your demographic is too broad brush. There are a lot, particularly in the middle of east, that seem to prefer to sit and watch, and see the noisy ones either as there to entertain them, or to disrupt their spectating and it kills the atmosphere. Pushing upper west down will make this worse.

North is a ridiculous place for noise, as it's out of sight of tv, and not particularly audible around the ground. Splitting noisy fans was always a foolish choice.

I agree with what you say about how many would choose their preferred seat. I can't help thinking it'd be a decent solution, but no doubt there's something I'm not seeing.

Almost. However, people seem to be clearer on how they like to view, and what each stands stereotypical fan is like than they where in the past.

Being able to swap seats more regularly and easily would help people try it for size. Keep your own seat as a base, but have the option of sitting in another for different games if there's a temporary one available due to someone in that stand doing likewise.

It actually comes down to three things at present.....
Speaking to my mates who like me have stayed away this season....

    A) Price too high
    B) Not missed it as much as they thought they would, due to many Sky games this season
    C) Even if the price went down, not sure they would fork money out to watch the drab football on offer, it really has been poor for a while

And these aren't johnny come lateleys, we are all ex-Kempton etc been going for 20 odd years, but under Bruce the last two years, you can predict what the game will be like without turning up, slow, no ideas going forward, hanging on for points, or throwing them away at the end (ala Premier League relegation).

Will add a D), will not come back if kids and OAP have their concessions removed.

We would still have people going into the stand designated as the one for those who wanted to stand, sing etc and demanding others sit down and involving stewards in the row. And the problem would remain that the stewards could quote ground regulations regarding all seater stadiums and take their side. Only as regards home fans naturally.
Should be like New York Red Bulls. My cousin lives there and goes to some of their games. They have deliberately tried to build a stadium where they can have a European or South Americantype football atmosphere, which Is something a lot if Yanks who are unused to that sort of thing think is great. A lot of those with Italian, Spanish and South American heritage go in there. The tickets for the cheapest area behind one of the goals used to state something along the lines "Will anyone purchasing a ticket for this area please note that this is an area where standing, chanting and singing are encouraged. If this sort of thing bothers you then buy tickets for somewhere else in the ground".

The stewards never bothered to get anyone to sit down where we were in east, which was fortunate because there were often more people than there were seats. People moved because they got tickets there without realising, and rather than try getting anyone to sit, the stewards helped find them other seats.

Some people watched every game from a bit near the stewards that didn't even have a seat. It was only if you blocked the walkway/stairs they asked you to move.

****s sake, dunno why I'm bothering.

On the initial release, of which there were scarce details, a lot of people would be paying less, me included. I like saving money. So ****ing what?

There was no mention of concessions. I pointed that out as per my quote which you ignore. Initial impressions, great, but needed more details before getting all angsty.

Have I discussed the now more fully released details with you? No. I haven't. Wanna know why? I think you're a **** but I'll humour you. Just this once.

Do I want to see kids paying more? No.

Do I want to see OAPs paying more? No.

Do I want to pay less? Yes.

    Do I care where I sit/stand? No.

Do I like the fact our club is trying something new? Yes. But I think it still needs work and that needs feeding back to the club.

There you go. You can carry on with your weird obsession with me (snigger, really? At your age? That's all you have?), I'll go back to ignoring you by letting my eyes glaze over when I see you've posted and scroll past as quick as I can.

You really are a tedious prick.

Think we are going off topic a lot here.
Price thats all this is. Increasing prices for the young and old is wrong.
Me and Castro argue a bit but we've always agreed our support and the way we support is rubbish on the whole but thats by the by.

    Yes, you're right there...
I had forgot when we used to go in E3, there sometimes seemed to be extra people on our row.
But as we were all stood up cheering and singing, and never sat down, it didn't matter.

You are right in the entirety of your post, you have been consistent in pushing on this, we have not always agreed, but I applaud your determination to find a solution. The only reason I have replied to the snippet is because it seems to perfectly describe how the situation we have has developed since we moved to the KC - from memory 14 years; reversal will take time.

I have seen plenty of occasions where over officious stewards have told people to sit down in the .East Stand, in every section virtually.

Away fans in the North have never had trouble in making themselves heard. Fill, the North with Wednesday fans, or Sunderland ones and it would be an impressive sound.

Some of us old buggers are keener on standing and making a noise than a lot of our younger fans who seem to have no idea what the role of a fan in encouraging the team or creating an atmosphere is.
