Ha ha! To be fair it must be really annoying to get that one thrown at you all the time. It stands to reason that the supporters of the two major clubs in one of Britain's biggest cities are going to have a bit of animosity towards each other.
Another point to raise is why don't we just merge Wales into England, it is such an insignificant piss bucket it may as well just be bolted on
[Your fans are too OTT, and making death threats to opposing players and managers is stupid, and if i'm honest, pathetic. You don't see it in other derbies, so why should it happen there.] Why would any Celtic fan want to be associated with that shower of ****e?!
Although the author is having a laugh I will go along with it. We could merge and the fans could be called something like Billy Popes, or fenian billy's. (I think I blagged these names from a Glaswegian underground comic called Electric Soup.) We could sing Walk On Queen Liz, or God Sqave our Gracious Pope. What about a nickname such as timhuns. The strip could be green and blue hoops or just plain blue and gree. Never tried it but do you get a different colour if you mix blue and green?

Yeah, you just want to be associated with people who slaughter innocents who have nothing to do with football whatsoever. Oh, and by the way, is Neil Lennon dead? And Villa fans (not exactly at the 'cutting edge' of honour distribution in English League football in the last 25 years) have performed very similar actions with their OWN manager... But maybe you're right. It's just Rangers. That's only Fare.
I think this is a rather stupid proposal and I think the o p already knows it. Why should a financial sound club merge with a Rangers who may within a period of months be liable for more tax, penalties and interest than the two clubs could cover and survive? Why should the Celtic clubs who fans have been acclaimed best in Europe and best in the World merge with the Rangers fans who have recently been banned for Sectarian singing and who in 2008 destroyed the City of Manchester. Why should Rangers whose team has always maintained good relations with the SFA and Scottish referees risk all those advantages by merging with Celtic who are constantly treated unfairly by SFA and Scottish referees.
I suggested that in an article entitled what is the point of wales. I'm all for a merge with england.
