Well let's see what tomorrow brings. It could still be 8 points with a game in hand since it now falls to Arsenal to #bottleit rather than City

Arsenal's remaining games are Palace (H), West Brom (H), Sunderland (A), Norwich (H), City (A) & Villa (H). I can't even see where they'll drop 8 points there, even if we did win all our remaining games.

 

Win our game in hand means 5 point gap to Arsenal (if results go our way tomorrow)
Arsenal lose to Man City makes that gap 2 points
Arsenal then lose any other game (probably the one you least expect) and we match their other results

 

Arsenal are 11 ahead of us mate.

 

Not if results go our way tomorrow, obviously if they don't the rest is pointless, might as well wait another day though

 

All that matters is city did the business today. Utd had a total gimme game and scraped it and city mullered chelsea


4th place looks very much a done deal there.

Only real route to cl is europa league for lfc but we have to cover off the all or nothing by getting up to west ham.. 6th is a must for us.

Difference is in the Dortmund game it was down to us whether we scored or not. With the challenge for the top 4 we are relying on Arsenal, Man Utd & West Ham all dropping a lot of points & us winning all our games. If it was in our hands then we could say yeah its possible but the fact we are relying on our results and the results of 3 other teams going our way I just can't see it.

 

West Ham and Man Utd need to play each other, and they also both have to play Leicester. That's them sorted.

5th would be great. 6th would be ok (better still if it relegates Uniturd to seventh). Top four has been out of the question since Watford, imo. Think the only question on that score is which way around Arse and City will finish in third and fourth.

I hope we do finish in fifth or sixth though. I've enjoyed the Europy this season. I think the old argument about it being a burden is bogus now - if you've got a big enougth squad to get through the group stages until the New Year then it's no worse a drudge than playing CL. Obviously we hope to be making a better fist of the league next year, but I don't see how playing on Thursdays, sundays/mondays is worse than Tues/Wed and sat/sun, tbh.

 

Had Boro, United, Shef Wed, Rothersam in my acca today, forest winless in about 10, Rotheram unbeaten in 10 with about 8 wins.... Went n bloody drew 0-0

I think it's crucial to our future to be in Europe.

A season with 2 points will fall out of our coefficient next year and if at worst we play europa and put another 16or 18 points on...

Well the reality is spurs are up there and likely getting a decent cl seeding next year... if we went to cl next year we will struggle for seeding. So we will struggle to get out of group.

Look at how long in early days arsenal took to get out of group and then city too... it's a struggle when you are low seeded.

The whole cl is set up for bigger richer clubs to have better seedings and avoid each other.

 

Arsenal win is vital as frankly despite the bravado if they lose they are likely to let Utd catch them.

They turned a title push in January into a fight for 4th in April as per.

 

Has anyone noticed that wwe tosser sheamus has called out rooney.

Apparently wwe are in Manchester on 19th and rooney is called out.

Do you think with rafa cup semi right after that he will be in there acting the clown slapping men in spandex???

I mean seriously when Utd were a real team Ferguson would have read the riot act.

If this is real and he turns up doing anything in ring etc on 300k per week when Utd season rests on a semi final in a couple days.
