The BBC Radio commentary had it down as a stonewall penalty as they did the foul on Defoe. However the co-commentator Terry Butcher didn't have a good thing to say about is all afternoon and was undoubtedly wanting Norwich to win..

Sutton came across as a complete and utter prick.

Doubt he'll get many more stints apart from the BBC.

Howard Webb talked him through why it was a Pen and the prick was still having none of it. I wonder if hed have had the same opinion if it was the other way round?

Another reason to despise footballers. Even though Collymore is an complete twat.

Aston Villa captain Joleon Lescott has been criticised after describing relegation from the Premier League as "a weight off the shoulders".

Saturday's defeat at Manchester United confirmed the West Midlands club will drop into the second tier of English football for the first time since 1987.

Lescott said he hoped in the final four games "we can give these fans what they deserve - some performances".

But his remarks were called "selfish" and "insensitive" by some supporters.

Former Villa striker Stan Collymore, now a commentator for Talksport, said: "Why is it a weight off the shoulders, Joleon? It should hang on your shoulders.

"There's the Villa staff, there's real weight on their shoulders, people are getting made redundant that have been there 20 years and don't know where the next pay cheque is going to come from."

Sutton was a knob as a player. Still remember him attacking the ball after a courtesy pass back against Arsenal which immediately let to a Blackburn goal.

Paul McGrath's a don, wouldn't **** with him on the best of days.

Collymore is a joke, him telling folk how to behave is akin to Ian Huntley telling Adam Johnson he should be ashamed of his crime.

It was the same challenge as Kahzri's, so a yellow and a penalty, but the usual diagnosis of how we won the game becomes a joke, our first goal was not a penalty, our second goal was after a foul on their defender etc, etc, etc jesus, every time we win there seems to be an unexplainable reason, Norwich were poor at the back and were better at scoring end of, and mariner being in charge. Watch next week when Arsenal come to town we won't get ANY desitions , refs are frightened of Wenger. And it is a pity Villa got more points than us from 10 years ago !

I've always thought Sutton was an arrogant prat but when he tried the 'as an ex-player, Howard' to try to undermine Webb's point I nearly choked on my beer - what a muppet!

    Back to the original post......

Sutton is trying to make a name for himself in the media and his tactic is to be controversial.

Bad tactic because he is making himself look stupid
