Statement says premilinery talks have been started with another group. So much for "Mordy is expected to be in place by thursday next week, complete buyout, no interest from the mittals". Is this statement the way of countering the rumours that everything "going to be in place" when, in fact, only preliminery discussions have taken place?
I think it reasonable to read quite a bit into the statement - the Goons wouldn't bother putting it, with all the speculation it will engender, unless they were some way down the line with these purchasers. The statement preempts any confusion over purchasers by press, regulators etc, which is relevant since they are claiming they are no longer bound by Stock Exchange rules on mergers and takeovers in relation to this subsequent, so far unidentified purchaser.
Did they purposely couch it in mumbo jumbo or is that just business talk Goldie? I'm afraid I ain't up on such things
It's phrased in pretty standard, dry City Stock Exchange terms, Swords. Almost certainly drafted by their corporate lawyers.

This is my first post on not 606, some of you may remember me from 606. Are you lot really so bored that you have to bash Cernt Berny. From all of his posts he has been about 85% accurate in predicting signings & going ons with the club in general. I for one take his posts way more serious than anyone else, as he is obviously connected deep within the club. If he gets somthing wrong now & then so what, he is mostly right & I welcome his news. Also can anyone please clarify wtf todays statement actually means lemans terms.
I think it means that the club is now not for sale as they are in negotiations with a party. Fingers crossed the deal is well down the line. I'm obliged to think that it probably is.
No egg on my face what does that statement tell us nothing, is their a take over today no this could go on forever you still need to take that Taxi cerny your cred has reached a low level.
If you're a club insider Cerny, have a word with the switchboard / reception please... I know we football fans are addicts and as such will come back time and time again regardless of how badly the club treats us - but we're customers just the same and it wasn't that long ago the club was both relying on attendance - and donations... Thanks, just had to get that off my chest!
