All this talk of Deano for coach, striker coach, manager, motivator etc etc, the lad is still coming to terms with his demons so I understand, unfortunately while he will always remember in cult status for what he did as a player, positions such as those mentioned at the beginning of this post are not realistic at this time.
Bruces theory that you are only as good as your strikers has been disproven this year, if it were true we would be about 15th.
Maybe literally yes. But it has been proven true that having poor strikers can seriously hinder an otherwise excellent team.
Well we are not completely out of it but..we need to win our five remaining games, and two teams currently above us need to go into complete meltdown. Not likely but you never know.
Just a (ridiculously optimistic) point but I can easily see Burnley losing 3 games this coming week. If - IF - Brighton also lose next weekend and if - IF - we win our 2 this week then we're suddenly in touching distance. It's the hope that kills you.
Agreed. But its getting on my ****ing nerves how many on here seem to be relishing every draw, defeat or even a win. Constant abuse of the manager, certain players, non stop pointing out of what they cant/didnt do or should have done. TWS would love to be in the position we are right now.
