I'ml just kerp replying to a dead thread. couple more I'd add would be Blackadder and the Killing (Danish). I'm glad someone finally added The Wire, another Brit-actor dominated US show, which i had no clue about til after the event. Then there was Bergerac.... sunday evening tv as a teenager, eh. What was that geeky BBC2 'game-show' where you had to cross the Vortex. I used to like that as a nipper, and Morph.
How about The Night Manager? Think it just ended on BBC, about to start here. Based on the John LeCarre novel.
On the local really old TV oldies channel I have recently watched all 150 episodes of Hill Street Blues and enjoyed every one of them. Ground breaking stuff and now much copied.
I've heard it's good, I recorded it but I'm missing episode one for some reason. Hopefully it'll be available again. I'm a little bit dubious about it as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was based on a le Carre novel too and I found it unwatchable but I'm keen to give it a try.
I follow old(er) series on line using CouthTuner and they occasionally show the latest series from the US and one called Game of Silence started last night. It looks a goodun.
Supernatural..tried a few times to get into it, still havnt a clue what the **** is gannin on. Two brothers been to hell or someit. anyone seen it.?
Mrs. A. and I watched this series, and we were very impressed . . . . Hugh Laurie played a very good 'baddie' and Tom Hiddleston (I thought that he played for Hull !) seems to be a good guess for the next James Bond
Night Porter and Cheers both vey good, I liked The Bridge, but two of my favourite oldies are Rising Damp and the Looser, Lenard Rossiter is my all time favourite, how sad is that.
His neighbour was a bloody nig nog . . . . not a wog, if I remember correctly It was a blinking good show
How does utter ****e like corrie and chavenders keep going? Obviously doing something right as they have been around since Relic was born, and that was a ****ing long time ago, sure Henry V111 ruled at the time. Henpecked husbands, or do some actually watch and enjoy that crap?
Believe or not the series "Have Gun - Will Travel" is being aired. Black and white from the 1950s. I'll stick to The High Chaparral.
