I was out last night and a girl in the pub was wearing a Villa top. I wish I was 30 yrs younger as she probably would have gone down without a fight!

At football. Went in for a sliding tackle too aggressively and it completely snapped. Got metal plates on both bones and lost 25% of my movement and sensitivity.

Yeah, still playing. Was back after four weeks :)

Snapping a tendon in my ankle was far worse. Took years to recover and it still hurts some 8 or 9 years later if I catch it wrong.

Needed to get some new Astros for football so out in town today went into the 2 sport shops in the mall, Sports Direct and JD.... When did sport shops stop selling sports equipment and become fashion? Not a sign of a football boot or an Astro in either shop <doh>

Been in Sports Direct myself today and there were plenty of boots. However, we do have a major distribution warehouse / site here, it's bloody massive!

It's ****ing ridiculous isn't it. All online now. Those trainers I posted are off the Adidas webshop, think I'm gonna get them. If you want any sports specific gear that isn't lifestyle or fashion you can't get it in town anymore, apart from el cheapo, beginners type of stuff which is no good if you play to any level. The Adidas store in town has boots and that actually, went in to see if I could try those runners on but they didn't have those hence website shopping

Hate buying boots/shoes online as I'm diff sizes depending on make.. Prob pop to a specialist small scale one at some point but not many of them around.

Same mate, always best to try shoes on, but I'm not paying 130 quid for a pair which is what they seemed to be asking for a few pairs in that store. Got some other Ads in 10.5 and they're very similar from looking at them so should be alright but I vary between 10, 10.5, 11 depending on shape of shoe and brand, 10.5 is in the middle so go for that <laugh>
