I live my life according to the principles of eternal recurrence.

Even the future is in the past.

Try reading Friedrich Nietzsche on the subject.

He's always good for a laugh on a Friday evening.

Last last I heard he was still writing. Mainly jingles and soundtracks. Used to go to school with him. Bit of a spoils brat who was over indulged by a well off dad. Full of self confidence though. First sang by hopping up on the stage at a full Brid Spa and singing Midnight Hour with the Mandrakes (whose singer was Alan Palmer, later better known as Robert Palmer).
A mate of his told me a few years back he was probably the last person to see Steve Marriott. Marriott arrived back in England with his wife from America and went round to see him as they were writing something together. After a lot of drinks, and maybe other things, Marriott had a row with his wife and stormed off and went back to his house where of course he ended up setting fire to it and perishing.

Graham Bond is unfortunately forgotten about nowadays. Very influential in his time. Just look at the people who passed through his band.
Stray, there is a band I saw who I had forgotten about.

His dad never said no to him. Got interested in drums when about 13 got a Premier kit. Interested in guitar, got a better one than the bands doing backing at the Spa had. Everyone else saving up to try and get a full length leather coat and he had two or three.

I only met him when he came to Hull - he was in a band called Spanish Leather (?); then he and That Feeling (?) turned into Nothineverappens.

You might well be right there too.

It's just a strong memory of Zal Cleminson's clown face leering from only feet away on a low stage. Could have been Hornsea perhaps. I know I saw them at City Hall too.
