Good to see Dutch, Ernie & Bob make an effort. Gray would have fitted straight in here. Flat off Noddle Hill Way & hangin with the homies at Centre on his days off. Regulation 5 nowt. Hat-trick Abel Brace for Dio.
Decision of the season right there. David Meyler to earn recall http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...-earn-recall/story-29112423-detail/story.html "We all know that he's a manager's dream. "I've had him for the best part of six years and recently he's had to be patient. "Over the last couple of weeks it's been in my mind to bring him back because of what he gives you. "He gives you an honesty and endeavour. He trains like he plays every day. He'll play because he might be the one that others look to. He always leads from the front and tries to set an example. "He might not be the greatest footballer, and he'll admit that, but you want him alongside you when it's tough. And at the moment it's tough."
He might not be the greatest footballer. What any good manager looks for in a player. He might not be the best footballer, but at least he tries. Jesus ****. I'm not the greatest footballer, but pay me 33% of what Meyler gets and I'll do the exact same thing.
Meyler is about as good as Ash ability wise without having the leadership skills. If only Bruce could drill that side of the game into him he could give us direction in the middle of the park. Somebody on here posted our best results this season have come with him in the team. Saying that whenever I've been to the KC this season he is the only player I hear getting criticised from fans when I'm hearing conversations during games, not rated by a lot of people.
I would rather see someone Sterling who's MR average but trying than someone who's very good not trying because if some of these who had the ability did give more then players like Myler wouldn't get in the side how ever others haven't been doing it so lets get him in because on is day he's a decent player
On his day, sure he's a handy player to have. If his day is the 29th of February. So you'd rather have 11 players trying really hard but aren't very good, like Bolton, than the current crop of players we have now? Ever thought about watching Winterton?
You're insulting one of your own players. Its a poor show. To compare yourself to a pro footballer shows how deluded you are. Give your head a shake. As others said if Tom Hudd and played to his potential last season along with Davies we'd have stayed up and Melyer wouldnt have played. Same this season. Look how many times Tom has been taken off on 60 minutes when he has played. Cos he was so ****. Thats an ex England international in the Championship getting subbed on 60 minutes. Meylers done his cruciates twice, loves the club, scored some great goals, gives it his all and ill deserves your superior sneering.
Will to Win “The spirit, the will to win and the will to excel – these are the things that endure and these are the qualities that are so much more important than any of the events that occasion them.” “There’s only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything. I do, and I demand that my players do.” “The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will.” “You never win a game unless you beat the guy in front of you. The score on the board doesn’t mean a thing. That’s for the fans. You’ve got to win the war with the man in front of you. You’ve got to get your man.”
Its called getting the right mix and at the moment some of these better players are not doing it and when I say some you only need a couple not pulling their weight which is what is happening at the moment and it makes all the difference.
