Now they have visitors flocking to the Shambles and other places whilst Hull has Gipsyville, Longhill and a deserted city centre bereft of visitors. Having been around some lovingly reconstructed German cities, which had damage which made Hull's look, like a pinprick I now realise they got it wrong. All those old buildings were there only because they had been too poor to knock them down and they made the mistake of rebuilding them after the war when they could have replaced them with the sort of things we see in Hull city centre (and other bland English cities).
Giving your age away there DMD. Shows how bad things were back then when the likes of her were considered sexpots and what they appeared in was considered porn.
The **** wants sectioning. Do we have a better church than York Minster, do we have better shopping, do we have a railway museum, do we have a racecourse, do we have a longer history, do we have an Archbishop, do we have the rail links, do we have better housing stock, do we have a Viking museum etc etc? Do we ****. No doubt Geraghty will belittle York because it doesn't have chip spice, white phoneboxes or two RL teams. Embarrassing, but music to the ears of the deluded ****s who elected him.
No but we've got Orchard Park shops which is basically Heron Frozen foods and a charity shop, not to mention the closed pitch and putt course, burnt out pavillion and the kids playground that's had all the swings removed.
Some ****'s taking the piss. Thr original cobbled road is fine complete with inlaid old railway lines. You know, that industrial heritage/ real life history that most of the country lacks in their town centres. But no, keep digging it up every few years, putting down inferior modern surfaces that date real quick, and then realise, the orginal 'heritage' surface with grant cobbles and railway tracks is more 'authentic'. Someone is having the council's pants down (Inglis/ Bayes probably).

Was down there last week, the dry dock was originally drained and the gates are now solid concrete walls. However it is now back full of stinking stagnant water, full of rubbish around the amphitheatre, and building debris. Will take some cleaning up and keeping on top of to keep water clean
In that picture above, what are those big gaps on either side of the stage, all about. I too , went down there last week, and both my eyes were continuosly drawn to the aching gulfs on either side. truly horrendous. Is there going to be some finish to these parts.? Or left As Is.
