I know you are Welsh, but if you insist on speaking English, try sitting not sat. It's a common grammatical error ROD. Even though it was an act which was in the past, you were in the act of sitting not sat. Try this one. You have watched some scary crap at AG this season. So when you were crapping yourself because your favoured team might be losing the match.......... Put an 'h' in the verb to sit. So were you sh**ting in your seat or were you shat in your seat? I live with a wife who taught English Grammar who goes apoplectic every time she hears the television presenters make the same error. Just a bit of fun. No offence intended.
All to do with Active and Passive.......shall I explain? Don't get me started on 'wandered' and 'wondered', or 'our' and 'are'! And as for group nouns being followed by by the incorrect declension of the verb!!!! e.g. 'The family ARE missing...............'. 'The Council ARE considering..................' I blame the B.B.C.!
What a brilliant read this was! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36074705 Rotherham United boss Neil Warnock has said he believes he is the best manager in the Championship.
