Everyone knows how good a side Dortmund are, so last night would have raised a few eyebrows across Europe.

In the first leg the real Dortmund didn't turn up and we smashed them, 1-1 was flattering to them

The way the game went with Dortmund scoring 2 in 9 minutes showed that it was the real Dortmund this time, and then they still lost, so no excuses left

It's the opposite of Real Wolfsburg. Imagine if Ronaldo scored his hat trick and then Wolfsburg still won.

Amazing result! When the plane took off and my wifi disappeared it was 0-2 and getting worse, When I got it back at destination, it was 4-3 and reading the transcript it was simply one of the greatest turn around ever. By any team.

Some people must have had heart attacks all over the world with this !!! So cheesed off i missed one of the greatest matches in football.

I think we are destined to win the Europa this season. I would put money on it. Because no one beats Dortmund after being 2-0 down and being dominated in that first half. Simply fate and we are going to do it. Villarreal will simply be another hurdle. Yes, we will be put through the mill but in the end the trophy seems destined to go to Anfield.

Think that was my lreferred outcome. Will be tough games but saves us travelling long to Ukraine and I think Sevilla are the better of the two teams when it comes to Europa. I'd fancy is over two legs against Villarreal and in a one off game at neutral venue against shaktar.

I'd have preferred Sevilla. I know that we're all aware of how good Villareal are, but the media will make us out to be favourites, which usually doesnt sit well with us.

Still, i'm just glad we avoided a trip to Ukraine

Second leg at home is a massive advantage when it gets to this stage.

Villarreal are a quality outfit though.

The plum draw would have been Sevilla imo.

One of the CL rejects has to get to the final. Living in Spain, I hope it is Sevilla!!

Jurgen Klopp has only been in the job for 7 months and we've gone from the 42nd best team in Europe to the 19th.

19th? this year but not over the period which is what matters so we need time to get up there.

we are actually 40th best club and only have 18.65 point's so far this year. arsenal got 17.65 points so.... lets focus on next game which is bournemouth.

Dortmund's game management last night was a Martinez master class.

At 1-3 up they should have shut up shop and seen out the last half an hour and tried to hit you on the counter.

Instead they continually over committed going forwards trying to get what was a meaningless 4th goal at that point.

Even at 0-2 they let you back into the game by over committing and leaving space in behind that 1 through ball was enough to put Origi 1 on 1 with the keeper.

I bet the Germans who travelled were ****ing fuming, as the tie was dead when Reus scored - or should have been.

Credit to your lot for sticking at it, but they were masters of their own downfall there to an extent.

I have alluded to it before and will again. You will win the CL again long before you friends from North London get beyond the last 16 stage of the same competition. So with the same group of players Klopp has got more out of the squad than BR could ever have imagined. A few prudent signings in the summer will go a long way towards securing the PL title, which will happen because Klopp is a winner!!

Maybe, Martinez was one of the backroom staff last night. Their goals were as result of unforced errors, while our goals were as result of forced
errors. They wanted to prove that they can outscore us.

I think that's cods mate tbh.

Their 3rd goal was the result of a sublime piece of play by Hummels and a cracking finish from Reus.

Coutinho bent a shot in, that's not a forced error, that's just a good finish.

They went to sleep at the corner after the few minutes lost to the Can injury. That wasn't forced either.

    I'll quit the country mate.

I shaded out my diary for the week after I thought you were going to win it in '14. I was off away - no joke <laugh>

Knowing my luck I could have gone to some remote Pacific island and still bumped into some local wearing a Candy top from the batard 80's <doh>

Agreed, we may have contributed to their first two goals but their 3rd was brilliant!
Then again, the play for our two goals was superb too!
Great game, cliché I know, but one that no team deserved to lose, but obviously glad (understatement) we won!

Have we never seen a team get to the EL semi-finals before then?
