Maybe we need to call in our cousins for reinforcements.

Well done Dai for holding your ground with what you believe, rightly or wrongly. I personally think you shouldn`t try and ruffle the feathers too much, especially if you`re going to be the mouthpiece of the Yankee Doodle Dandies.<laugh>

Surely it`s red and white stripes for the shirt, with white stars on a blue background for the shorts, just saying like.

We could also have the Betty Ross insignia as the shirt crest.

Just a thought, any more suggestions send them to Dai.

Dai: Nobody is suggesting the Board have rushed into this. You'd expect negotiations to have been ongoing for a while and that wouldn't be unusual. What's causing some concern is what this will entail for the Club and the fact that you're "well happy" without knowing the details.

Well a very interesting two hours , in Huw we trust , not any more thats for sure , perhaps a strained relation ship between him and the shareholders who didn't know anything about the deal .

The Trust may be better off with 22 mill in the bank and be in a position to buy shares in the future should the Club get relegated.

That was discussed and not dismissed but at the moment without knowing the new terms of agreement and what protection measures that the Trust can request ,There has been no approach from the yanks to buy any of the Trust shares but that may change due to the reduction in the number of shareholders who MAY have had second thoughts on selling or weren't party to any of the discussions that Jenkins and the yanks had

Helping save Swansea from bankruptcy back in 2002 by buying £50,000 of shares, John van Zweden is about to make a very healthy profit.

Once a simple Swansea fan from Holland, the wallpaper business owner is now one of the club’s directors who, along with his fellow shareholders, has agreed to sell the club to a pair of American investors for around £100m.

Reported as being in talks with Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan three days ago, it appears the deal has finally agreed, as van Zweden explained to Voetbal International in Holland on Thursday.

He said: “I’m really happy with this deal. Last week after the Chelsea, everything was sorted, although it is only final when the money is in the account.”

While no money has yet been transferred, and van Zweden will sell almost all of his shares, his day to day relationship will the club won’t be changing.

He explained: “Strangely enough, there isn’t much change for me because I stay involved with the club. The new owner and I have agreed to this. He wants to keep me at Swansea from a commercial and sporting point of view.”

The only shareholder to remain at the club after the sale, the businessman said he ‘cannot imagine a better deal’ for the club he loves so much, but he only agreed to it after he was sure it was the right move for the club.

While van Zweden is yet to officially reveal how much he is set to make from the deal, reports claim he could earn as much as €8.5m (£6.8m) from the club’s sale.

Not bad when your initial investment was £50,000.

Supposedly so, in Huw we trust ................................................ not any more. Although would we prefer a stranger coming in and seeing over that side of things.

None of us can make any sort of considered judgement on this because we know feck all about what`s going on. Our success over the last decade and more has been because of Huw & the board. If it`s all going to be "in with the new", then that`s a whole different ball game.

    Wathan`s report on last night:

    http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...swansea-city-supporters-chiefs-admit-11188917

There`s going to be a lot of acrimony, I think, over this shambles for a long time to come.

It`s come to the point where I think we`d have been better off getting relegated this season, at least that would have put these takeover merchants (not investors) out of the picture.

perhaps so but we'd still be in the position of having disgruntled share holders wanting out as fast as their little legs could carry them
