He's passionate. You can see it filtered to the team. You could see the Dortmund players and Liverpool players all have the utmost respect for Klopp. I'd like our manager to display that much passion and drag a performance out of his team. Some of Bruce's press conferences are so downbeat and negative the team sound beaten before they take to the pitch.
It's down to respect not just screaming at them…. they buy into the concept of his football and in the case of Liverpool their never say die attitude, their history.
I dont doubt it at all, but GLP referred heavily to passion.and clearly it isnt a magic wand. If it was I'd be a great football manager, whereas in reality id be ****ing useless.
Was hoping for Dortmund to smash them. Nevermind. Hopefully they'll dumped out of the next round to the dismay of cockney scousers everywhere.
OT but why are stereotyping comments like this fine? If when Bradford got to the league cup final someone had said "the streets of Manningham will be swimming in curry tonight" it would quite rightly be seen as unacceptable. I also always thought that about the Dolmio Italian stereotype with comedy accents advert, nobody would make one for curry sauce with the classic Ronnie Barker wobbly turbaned head. Anyway, back to football and Liverpool....
You clearly need a bit of managerial ability thrown in for good measure. This is a piss poor example, you're right, you'd be a ****ing useless manager.
I wasnt complaining about it or saying it was unnaceptable, I said why is that acceptable when certain other things arent? Are you telling me if Sharwood came out with an advert of a load of dark skinned people in turbans working in a corner shop saying "goodness gracious me" eating their curry then it would get past the ASA? I just thought it was an interesting point about stereotypes and why some are allowed and others arent, but if you 're not interested then dont reply. If making a comment about working class people being unemployed is humour then, you're right, i dont.
I really don't get the Klopp love in, he just comes across as annoying and panders to the press/fans , wearing a beatles t-shirt to a press conference ffs. He's a decent manager, but far from great, time will tell if he can turn this Liverpool team around but as of yet he's not shown a whole lot.
Not the point you were trying to make I know, but Nigel is a really funny guy. Not once did I hear him crack jokes about working class people being unemployed and not able to support their families.
Its only the Europa League, we were in it the other year, not the Champions League. However for those born in Liverpool, well done, for their glory hunting followers from far and wide, including the estates of Hull, f*** off. We support our local team.
Actually i've made a joke about Liverpool supporters being unemployed. The working class are, generally, working.
