The opening shots of the plains were stunning, he's really found his eye as a director. Looking forward to the finale on Monday.
Some good films on Netflix recently... 21 Grams. Brilliant but very dark film 9.5/10 highly recommended. The Grand Budapest Hotel your missing out if you haven't seen it 8.5/10 Let Me In. Remake of a Scandanavian vampire film the original is better but this is also worth a watch 7/10 Precious. Another dark film but brilliant performances 7.8/10 Alpha Dog True story of the youngest person ever to make the FBI most wanted list. Netflix List for @Red Hadron Collider or anyone who's interested.
21 Grams = Quality 9/10 The Grand Budapest Hotel = Not seen, but will as I know I have similar taste to you. Let Me In = Not bad, bit weird 7/10 Precious = Very good indeed 8/10 Alpha Dog = I actually really like this even if Justin Timberlake was in it (who I thought was excellent tbf) 8.5/10
Grand Budapest is simply brilliant mate. I was put off by the title and JT in Alpha Dog but it's a bit of a hidden gem, really good film.
I'm a sleep walker and do it very regularly and sleep with a serious weapon under my bed. Last night in bed with the Mrs 'Sleepwalkers that Kill' - She was absolutely terrified I'm going to attack her in my sleep! Did you know 2 in every 100 people get violent in their sleep? No wonder I keep waking up with bruises Tonight may be the night... If so, nice to meet you guys. Take care.
I'll watch that tonight after the football. I'm doing a sleep in at work tonight, so had to bring my laptop to stream the football. Trouble is I'm in the sticks, so I'm hoping I get a stream that copes with ****e internet.
Caught up with Wikkings new episode Spoiler: Spoilers longer than longboats Can't believe Ragnar murders the Asian chick, that came out of nowhere. Not sure what's going on with fat Otto in his sex dungeon ... are they keeping him there or will they kill him ?? I guess that little civil-war might lead to the reduction in French forces Ragnar needs to cause some damage as they take their eye off the ball. Then there's the King's son's bit on the side in England who gets murdered as well. Main point I guess is them lifting the longboats over the cliffs to be able to get to Paris and the inevitable big battle this is leading to with Rollo where we'll see whether he has really turned all cosmopolitan European or if it's all a bluff / double bluff
Ah the power of positivity and the delusional feckers it creates, enjoy your football-less evening pal You're normally a decade behind on the match thread so we won't notice any difference
Gonna have to catch up with BCS Started the first season and got about 3/4s of the way in and stopped with it
It's low key and takes its time, very different to BB but imo better, the creator has found his feet here and is churning out some of the best TV ever.

Spoiler Unfortunately, as I know my world history, I can tell you its no bluff. Rollo repelled the French invasion, twice, was gifted a large part of France as a reward, which he titled the duchy of Normandy. His great grandson William, then invades England in 1066 and becomes King.
Spoiler: spolier I finally caught up. I dunno its a lot of filler. I only realized bjorn had no clue who's ring it was at the end so now we have a storyline. this new king guy sigh.... is this how they get their endless troops i suppose. stick floki in with them. Then the kid axes another kid.. jesus wept.. its all just lining up as ragnar got old and scared really. the bjorn development was good but now we are in the ragnar decline phase before the big battles. I just feel they have not gone back to england yet and need to shortly.
Also saw DC legends today. bit of a filler episode until the end. get the feeling they are still in full on character development so we ended up no closer to getting the bad guy but then if they did they'd have to end the show.
Been catching up on House of cards and on ep 10. I felt the 3rd series was the weakest and was really not happy with how that series ended. This 4th series has brought back what i've loved so much about house of cards.
