What do you do to fill the time between 9am and 5pm?
I'm in uni at the minute but I've been finished school (sixth form) for 4 years, so most of my friends who went to uni have now finished and are in jobs. During the holidays and days off (of which you get plenty as a student) I find myself at a loose end as to what to do during the day.
How do you kill the time on your own?

I worked for 2 years after finishing school ;) Although I can think of worse things than being Van Wilder!
It's more aimed for the younger generation than the retired I suppose, I thought there were a few lads on here who fell in that category. Or lads who work away for a few months, then come back for a few months etc

Retirement is a completely different mindset. The time and freedom to do what I like. A drive to Durham, Washington Wetlands, Beamish or just head out into the countryside. Hop on a bus if I fancy a bite & a pint. The metro if I fancy making a nuisance of myself in the dark side guitar shops <laugh>

Basically the question has changed from what do I have to do today to what do I want to do today.

I won't ever retire unless I have to medically. The thought horrifies me.

    I'll get a job in B&Q, Tesco's, behind a bar, whatever.

Living in a small village I know I'd end up in the pub everyday if I wasn't out working!
