Actually had a couple of ideas one of which would be a locally based fiction and the other an alternative book to the bible/quran etc based on humanist and Epicurean values..
My ideal life work wise would be to run a chain of my own animal sanctuaries in the UK and have another business personally taking people on boat tours around different beauty spots in the world. I can't see either happening unless I win the lottery. My wife's not very keen on moving abroad and I don't have the income required to finance a money sink like an animal sanctuary. Such is life.
I'd love to drive an F1 car. I've got the right stature and I've always been pretty good at karting, set a good time when I drove a rally car too. Unfortuantely it's the kind of sport where you need a millionaire daddy behind you to get in. I'd do it for 20k a year if I could, happily.
Good choice, **** F1 though, I'd be a WRC driver... far more fun and less politics, plus the cars are more or less death-proof in WRC.
Probably any kind of racing tbh, F1 is just the sport I've always watched since I was a kid. I love the adrenaline rush of competing, something you can't really get to anywhere near the same level outside of sport.
A outdoor manly job where I could' sleep all night and work all day' ...and have 'buttered scones for tea' possibly 'press wild flowers' too
F1 bores the life out of me now, it's a rich man's playground and nothing more, the heart has been ripped out of the sport. The old group-B rallying is what I'd choose, if I could bring it back, in a Delta S4... those things mince F1 cars for fun.
Oh as a spectator I agree, the sport has died a death. Too many greenie rules imposed on engines and restrictions on how much money teams can spend. I'd still enjoy driving one though! Are there any kinds of racing that match the sheer speed of F1 though?
I wanted to work for the Canadian Forestry Commission - aged 16 I got a job working in an office in Newcastle so that I could save up for the air fare/digs etc. Spent my money on beer and women instead, convinced myself I was happy with that and didn't take up the option. Mug!! Have recently started training in trail leadership and mountaineering in the hope that in about 5 years time (when the mortgage is sorted) I can quit my job and go self employed as a hill/mountain guide while my knees are still up to it!!
Class, I'd love a job in the outdoors, I hate the cold mind which is probably what's always put me off.
I love my job! I'm a trainer and consultant for the NHS (not a consultant in a medical way!) - I build databases and excel files for NHS teams to improve their production. I also teach IT when required to qualification level in Microsoft applications! Dream job - not exactly sure - wanted to be a fireman when I was a kid (didn;t most lads? - fireman or footballer and I wasn't that good at footy!) My job suits me perfectly really and is pretty well paid too
