I don't know about anyone else but I am getting seriously annoyed about these Mirror BS stories. I know it's what we should expect from a red top tabloid but it's getting out of hand now! This is just another in a collection of utter drivel - we should make a scrap book and call it 'Chamberlain, the boy who inspired drivel and pointless, inane journalsm' They could at least write a match article without focusing all the attention on one player!

    Sorry for the rant!

I think the lad should change his name to "Arsenal Target Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain" and have it put on the back of his shirt.

Not really. I don't read the Mirror, I don't actively seek out rumours, and I don't listen to anything which I do come across.

But for whatever reason, it does seem to be annoying to you. So just stop reading it. Problem solved.

Yeah, fair enough guys, apologies for the rant. I guess i'm just fed up with this will he/wont he speculation that the media constantly fuel. I'm aching for the season to start just so the press can have some proper football to talk about instead of just nonsense!

It does seem that since the News channels concentrate more and more on sport speculation. Of course with that comes the opportunity to get the news out faster. The papers are relying more and more on real speculative stuff in the hope that some of there speculation actually comes off. If it turns out to be a lot of twaddle they just shrug their shoulders and look to see what is the next mischief they can get up to. The papers are not that interested in presenting facts any more, just more and more speculation and innuendo. People will have to be a bit more aware when they are reading news papers today they have to take what they say with a pinch of salt.

Its called 'lazy journalism' - the editors have the sell papers and they needs storys - if there isn't a real story - they rehash something written before and wrap it up as news. As written elsewhere; the the fault lies not with the editors but those that choose to buy such papers.

its not just the mirror, but nearly all newspapers. They rehash the same speculation, and "quote" anonymous sources, with no factual basis for what they say. In essence it's just cheap and lazy writing, but what else should we expect from the people who hack into the phone messages of grieving families, and pay sleazy people to corrupt all around them?
