I said this last week, but I heard it again yesterday and in greater detail (from a source who I can't name, but trust implicitly) Davis definitely has a broken ankle, a hair-line fracture with a chip in the bone, it was the Vardy tackle in the Leicester game. He is very unlikely to play again this season, although the physios are working hard with him to get him back.
Saints don`t have a good record at Everton, but now is a good opportunity to put that right. Hopefully Everton will be distracted by the cup semi coming up, and players will want to avoid injury or suspension. 2-1 Saints.
That was my poor attempt at humour this morning. On Davis, was Ron accurate about Jay when he first got his latest injury. I remember him saying pain in the foot, but I seem to remember him saying it would be a couple of weeks out, before later saying it was more serious.
The season ends in just 4 weeks, the club will do what they can to get him back playing before then, intensive physio, working on the anti-gravity (reduced weight-bearing) treadmill, pain killing injections etc. I have absolutely no medical training and have no idea how quickly one can recover sufficiently from a hair-line fracture and bone chip to withstand the rigours of playing premiership football, but from what I have been told, it will be quite a task. I can't comment from an informed viewpoint as to why the information provided by the club would be different to what I have been told, I can only say that I firmly believe what I have been told to be true.
Everton supporters are a bit fed up at the moment with their home form and being Everton generally must be fairly depressing. I fancy our chances here. What a surprise - i always fancy our chances when we have won a few games. Fancied my chances on the National last week and i ended up with FA. Still, good chance here
Ronald says that Charlie Austin is injured and won't be involved against Everton. Charlie twisted his knee in the warm-up at St. Mary's last weekend. No ligament damage so hopefully just a week or so out.
Ronald talking about how he confiscates his kids' phones (his kids are all 20+ now!) when they sit down to have dinner at home. He talked about this when I was at a press conference last season, said he was contemplating issuing a ban on mobiles on the premises of Staplewood.
I am genuinely astounded (but would rather be wrong and have a fit Steven Davis, than right and have him miss the rest of the season), let's see if he plays...
Yep, don't post ITK stuff without a credible ITK source. But like everyone here, your guess work is always welcome.
In fairness to my source, they are so credible that I have no choice but to believe them until I see SD back on the pitch.
If you have a look at the attention seeking SD thread you created, my comment is five down from the top, & I'm sticking to that stand point.
This includes footage of training showing Steven Davis with the others. I don't think we should be having a go at people reporting stuff they have been told. It all creates discussion which in this case thankfully was wrong but sometimes it might prove to be true. The more people providing info the better, it shouldn't just be down to a select few. As long as it's clear that it's something they have been told but don't know 100%. People just need to remain calm until it's proved one way or the other.
