I'd rather discuss it on a football forum if it's all the same with you.

Tbf I think they'd both make excellent appointments. I'm not been funny but Sherwood laid the foundations for what is now pocetinos Tottenham and did fantastically there. Villa have been ****e for years now and selling benteke was always gonna send them down, irregardless who was there manager. Monk did well for Swansea, really well and he was sacked when they had a loss of form but they were still in a safe position. I think Swansea jumped the gun there

Due to a major fall-out with Huw Jenkins, Monk was a dead man walking for quite awhile before their poor run of form - Jenkins was itching to sack him.

Whilst reading through this thread i kept having nightmare visions of McClaren stood with a black and amber brolly for some strange reason.

There are worse options but of the better options who the hell would come here when the owners have no interest in the Club at all. There will be little or no money available for players with the quality needed to compete in the Championship. With the likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa and Sunderland (or Norwich) in this league next season there would be little hope (just my opinion) of us battling it out for the top two places especially with the resources those Clubs have.
Under these circumstances I believe a prospective Manager wouldn't give us a second glance, would have to have something seriously wrong with his brain or absolutely desperate - oh Geezus H Christ, McLaren and Brownie fit the bill!

To get us promoted from the Championship, which he did - and will do so again this season.

If Hull City win promotion to the Premier League this season they will HAVE to change their name to Hull City Crabs. I honestly cannot see us going anywhere with sideways football.

Like the cut of your jib IRW especially as you invariably tip City to lose every week in the Prediction League!

It was very noticeable that Liam Rosenior took the trouble to write an open letter to the fans in which he thanked everyone, from the Allams, to the two tea ladies; the notable exception was his manager, Steve Bruce. There was a very deliberate snub intended and I know it was shared by and amused other team members, past and present.

KIngston Communications became KC, then became KCOM, both are obviously shortened versions of the original name.

As the company is now called KCOM, they obviously want anything they sponsor to also be called KCOM, it changed two or three weeks back.

The very fact that he was a useful utility player, counted against him and still does.

Like GLP, I would welcome Rowett; he is a good young, progressive manager who seems intent to take the game to the opposition and that is a style of football I find entertaining.

I wouldn't look down on either Sherwood or Monk. Robinson is not as sure for me, as I have not looked too closely at his progression, I think I will now having read respected posters offer him up.

    McClaren is a busted flush.

Brown is the Joker in the pack; I wanted shot of him much earlier than he went, but sacking him when we did was simply stupid - bringing in Dowie was comical, except many of us weren't laughing. I would have Brown back, as I think he is a learner. I would want him to be a No.2 to someone else - Kevin Keegan has been mentioned - unlikely, but what a time we would all have at the match and on here. <laugh>
