You're right. Not every player plays every game - apart from Fabianski and Williams maybe. But whereas I fully understand your concerns about Siggy/ Shelvey I think we have to set that aside and look at the bigger picture. By the way I'm sure Guidolin has spoken to Siggy about the issue and the player would be justifiably gutted to be dropped after being such a star since Shelvey left. I really hope it won't happen, and it shouldn't imo.

We should not be in cruise control now. We should be looking for a mid-table finish and, crucially, help to bury a relegation rival. A win for the Toon could see them turn a corner and string some results together. A loss for us and we could go on a bad run. Even though relegation is highly unlikely this game is actually important. I think that's where we differ. If I'm right and it IS important we don't drop our main goal threat.

Regardless of what may have gone on in the past, if Shelvey attempts anything crazy intentionally then he deserves everything he gets. Personally, I'm hoping for an excellent display and 3 much needed points (although I suspect we are already down)

I'll actually be saddenend at that due to family connections in Newcastle so I've always had a soft spot for them. But I have to root for my team on Saturday. Sorry. Can't say I'm crying over the Mackems though.

You need to beat us period , then you can deal with any Sunderland vs Norwich result .

We do BUT we won't. The squad is a shambles and you have a good record up at SJP

Even if Shelvey is baring a grudge roof, which I doubt, I think he'll be putting Toons' desperation for points first on Saturday. If he gets himself booked it means he misses the next three games for them (I think that's right but not 100%). Besides, Shelvey and Siggy will be playing at the opposite ends of the pitch anyway, probably even playing the same role, so I doubt they'll meet much throughout the game.

As far as I'm concerned Shelvey is a very good player but it just didn't work out for him here in Sunny Swansea, simple as that realy.

I like Shelvey , and he will do his best for Newcastle but he does have a mean streak in him , I've seen it in impulsive tackles from him . All I'm saying is throw a bit of impulse along with a bit of bad history in a common area and things can happen .......accidently on purpose .
I realize nothing will probably happen but .......

I think siggy can look after himself, and if shelvey is holding a grudge and does somthing stupid the ref will have do his job and sort it out, I like the geordies and and will be sorry if they go down the only one I wont miss is zero hours Ashley.

I agree. Routs/Barrow and Monty on the wings with Palo up top. Ayew should only come on, if it's to replace Palo.

For me, he's done that all season. Hasn't got the credit he deserves imo. Does a lot of unnoticed work which frees up Gylfi to concentrate further up the pitch. If he could put on 3-4 pound of lean muscle he could be a beast.

Cork for me this year has been a bit of an unsung hero, many times he has played in positions which are not suited to his game, but every game he gives us 100% and does a lot of the stuff that people don't appreciate.

Jesus Valley must have been typing the same time as me and beat me to it.

I thought he was playing well ,out of position , too. Lots of times he was running down the right wing .
I just didn't think he could do the he whole holding midfielder thing , to the extent of Britton .
But he played against Chelsea very well in the " Britton " role .
See , 5 million and we get Cork .....they're out there , we just got to find them .
Cork will be good for years IMO .

I think Cork has been lightweight at times but is an elegant player and his last game was probably his best in a Swans shirt. One of the star performers for me.

I disagree with your assumption we have 3 points in the bag......The toon are more than capable of putting on a display to win the game and if we go into the game not 100% fit and ready then we will lose......Siggs as our best player must play the same as shelvey must play for the toon. they are both match winners on the day........Im going for a 1-1 draw and i will be happy with that....
