Well as long as the pecadildos were covered up and in a dungeon I don't see the harm.

Yes, but he actually has the power to stop the newspapers from reporting about it, which most of them wouldn't anyway being Tory party supporters to a man.

Norse women could inherit and divorce in the Iron Age. The earliest evidence of this is a runestone from 550 AD. Muhammad received his 'revelation' from Gabriel in 610 AD. Europe still had 60 years on Islam in terms of women's rights. <rofl>

Muhammad ordered the deaths of all the men and adolescent boys of the Banu Qurayza tribe following the Battle of the Trench. He then ordered all the women and children were taken as slaves. Even by Iron Age standards, executing between 600 and 700 men of an entire tribe following a surrender was considered cruel and merciless. As for the secular laws part, Saudi Arabia uses the Quran and hadith as justification for executing adulterers, homosexuals and apostates. If secular laws were to blame for that barbarity, then France, the US and Germany would also execute adulterers, homosexuals and apostates.

The messenger of the Lord, faced with coherent argument, appears to have done one.

Let's face it, no religion stands up too well to any kind of scrutiny. It doesn't matter if you are Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Christian or Zoroastrian, they all follow ancient doctrines which may have been relevant at the time but are increasingly out of context today.

I'm not sure why Fanny wants us to judge Islam on the time his prophet was around. What did or didn't happen 1400 years ago can't be changed, it is how the "teachings" are being interpreted now that is f*cked up.

Remember his efforts to say that Muslims weren't really Muslims even in Muslim countries? That argument ran out of steam pretty quickly too.

Might just as well believe in the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot and the female orgasm (I'm sure I've use this line before!!)

And when was the last time someone was prosecuted for that?

It is illegal to eat Mute Swan unless you’re the Queen of Great Britain.

    See?

    Very very weak from you.

Ireland's current blasphemy law was introduced in 2009. It's the only country in the developed western world to introduce a blasphemy law in the 21st century. They wouldn't have reintroduced it unless they had intentions to go through with prosecutions should someone say or do something blasphemous.

It will have been put in place to protect your fellow muslims.

You do know there is hate speach laws in the UK?

Are you agreeing that this is on a par with the head of state also being a religious leader?
