The wimper wasn't theirs to give. If you didn't see their drive and team influence then I wonder what you watched.
Rosenior barely played and McShane was naughty stepped for long periods. Plus this is a different level of football. We are clearly amongst the or the most talented teams in thus league. We badly need a Rosenior or McShane in this group to galvanise it.
I'd hardly make him culpable. He spent long periods in our rotten winter persona non grata. His return saw our points per game improve. Too late, but that's not his fault. It's Bruce's...
I agree he should play alongside Davies now. He's just not a leader yet. We lack them badly. Even Dawson seemed powerless to get anything sorted at Derby.
Two excellent articles on this thread. Deano is spot on with his assessment of where we are at the moment and it will be interesting to see the attitude and commitment of the players on Friday. The performance against Wolves can set the tone for our remaining games and might give us an indicator as to wether or not the players are up for the play off battle. The fan's perspective article is also spot on. We rapidly need something to lift us from the gloom of poor performances on the pitch and uncertainty off it.Not too many of us are looking forward to another season in the championship not knowing who our manager will be, not knowing who our owners will be and not knowing which part of the ground we can sit in. Allam's say thet want what's best for the club - then ffs sort out this almighty mess you have created
Macca was put on the naughty step for weeks for daring to say anything - same with Davies - anyone who questions Bruce is either dropped or farmed out
Some how we have all got to lift our spirits, the problem for us is all the bad feeling which has been created from the way the club has been run , the expectations we have had when the squad was put together for this season and the disappointing way we have fallen away. To me and many it feels has though we have thrown it away yet other clubs supporters at Sheffield Wednesday, Derby ect are probably much more excited about the plays offs because of the way they have come up the league although some Derby fans will feel they should have done much better but because they were so poor a few weeks back they will now be lifted with recent form and think they have a good chance. Regarding us first of all we need the team to start performing again easier said than done but we don't want excuses we need to go into these play offs with momentum, we can do it we already have earlier in the season when we were on a great run, confidence needs to return for both players and us because i have no doubt about its a good enough team to win these play offs. I hope with the ability these players have that they get it into their thick heads that has well has ability you need a bit of bottle and the ones that the manager thinks he isn't giving me everything on that pitch no matter what ability he has get him out, we might have cocked it up not getting a good inside forward which for me has cost us massively but its gone, its to late to worry about that now so the least I expect is to see a team that is organised and will battle and then yes we would have a chance against anyone in this league and I mean anyone.
The attendances don't look as high as reported - I suspect they add tickets sold to thevnumber of season ticketbholders and report that - if theatre number was released I suspect we'd be shocked just how many have turned their back on the Brucie brand of football - the sooner he's gone the better although I've been saying that for two years now and welcome all those who have joined the Bruce out brigade
I actually thought the crowd were decent at Uddersfield. Especially considering the dross in front of them. We made a lot more noise than the little band of chav dingles. At home there's a massive problem...
Last season's relegation had little to do with any failings that McShane and Rosenior may have - we were relegated for one reason only, that reason being the lack of goals, plain and simple.
