Can't complain about that team. It's probably our strongest available, although feel a bit for Lallana who has done really well recently. Possibly have Lallana in for Firm and bring Firm on towards the end if needing a goal threat.

To those who decry the Europa league ,apart from Man City fans, they will all be sitting at home on Thursday wishing their club were hosting Dortmund in such a finely balanced tie

though i would prefer a totally unbalance tie after we won 1-6 over there :cheesy:

Meaningless games that you know the outcome days before they're played is what the CL is for <ok>

Seeing as we'd probably be losing 6-1, yeah.

    Love this:

Sturridge on Hummels: “I’m at his level, I don’t look at him as anyone who’s bigger than me or better than me." #LFC

grand...good for him as long as he doesn't turn to the negative side of loking about in his own team and saying he's above them... you have to lift your own side not look down on them and feel you don't need to put the graft in.

We've always known he thinks he's gods gift.

Needed that rest maybe? He's been out forever and that match fitness takes a while, pulling him from the first leg v Dortmund may have been a good thing.

Do we start with Studge and Origi is the big question, we're at home and should be going out to batter them so why not?

I'm not saying it's a bad plan, but it could be seen as a a bit risky. Defo Origi, as as well as scoring a few recently, he's got a very goof work ethic - tracking back etc.

Yeah we'll need that work rate, not sure myself if both is a good idea. If they bang in 2 each by half time it would be great though.

Playing Sturridge up top on his own means we won't press them as much and as high up the pitch.

Origi's pace seemed to really cause Hummells and Bender problems in the first leg as well.

I think Tottenham shot themselves in the foot..by playing a weakened team away to Dortmund, hoping to catch Leicester in the league.
