Hamilton is always seen as a rain master but thats based on that wet silverstone race in a mclaren that had that special manual traction control paddle. Otherwise he makes as many mistakes as others (maybe even more than others)
wtf? The 1998 McLaren had a pedal for rear brakes only to limit wheelspin, what's this about special paddles on the 2008 car? Not heard that one before.
http://www.f1technical.net/development/187 'was' legal and very clever and made them king in the rain. 2008 was a very wet year too
Lewis is the fastest in the wet because he goes for it, trouble with that is a tiny mistake that would add .1 on a dry track will see you off in the wet.
please log in to view this image Just haven't had chance to change Stoffel's number to Alonso's? Or are McLaren genuinely expecting Alonso not to race?
Don't think he hasn't crashed that many times (on his own) in the we where it was 100% his driver error.
The FIA have 'provisionally cleared Alonso for the race. I think they are going to test him after free practice tomorrow to see if he has any pain. ....He's driving a McLaren so I guess he will be experiencing a lot of agony
I've just read this and feel a bit bad. My lad has just spent the last two weeks doing work experience for an engineering company that makes parts for Merc and Manor, specifically gearboxes!
