I was having a heated debate with work collegues yesterday ,do u know that the past 20 years only one team has won the prem title without it being a rangers and celtic and guess who Aberdeen?way back in the 80s when Fergie was in charge,so I said let both celtic and rangers quit Scotland and start off in the national league and work their way up to the prem would this be ever done and give other teams like Dundee Kilmarnock motherwell etc a chance of a title and Europe?
Nah; they should hold fire and play in the tenth division of the European Super League! As an aside; what about John Whittingdale not making full use of his former girlfriend's special talents!
If they moved South and either went through the leagues or went straight into the PL, at least one of them would be in Europe within 5 years and challenging for the title within 10. It's this kind of fear factor that will stop them being allowed to move by the top teams, and particularly because diddy no mark teams like Norwich and Watford will have even less chance of enjoying those memorable 1 nil wins against teams like Everton or Southampton when there's an increased chance they won't survive more than 1 or 2 seasons at a time in the top league.
Them's the facts, folks. Both teams have been part of Europe's 20 richest teams within the last 10 years, and Celtic are still in the top 40. Aye, Scottish league is ****e - which makes it all the more impressive - but regardless of your bias and inability to accept the truth, both teams have worldwide pull and were/will be resuming one of the great rivalries in world football, let alone both having stadiums that are 2 of the biggest in the UK, with Celtic's in the top 20 in Europe. Frankly, the English are scared of the potential to take a large part of financial pie that's already limited for most teams, plus we'd kick **** out of them off the park whilst spreading our rancid hate and bigotry around the whole of England.
