I remember a few months after NW was appointed manager there was a discussion on the old BBC 606 site where some Sheffield Utd fans shared their views, more positive than negative, if my memory serves me right. Don't know why but I've always remembered something a Blades fan said once, "the only thing he could criticize NW was for his habit of collecting strikers and never using them" Is the same thing happening now? I know we have not acquired them yet: - DJ Campbell D Webber J Puncheon W Routledge But if you add what we already have: - J Bothroyd H Helguson J Mackie T Smith P Agyemang R Hulse T Hewitt L Clarke A German 13 in total Not forgetting we have several attacking midfielders! Can anyone remember this discussion and what are your views? Will we have too many strikers, not enough or just right? Is it important? Is there a trend happening? I don't know and was just wondering what you all thought?
Flanman, I can understand NW not using Leon Clarke & P Agyemang....they do pose a Health and safety risk for any fan in a football stadium..........

the only out and out strickers are DJ, Bothroyd and Helgusson Dave, Clarke and Hulse do not count as all three does not form 1 normal standered prem player. Webber will not be an out and out stricker and i can see him being nothing more then a bench Warmer
The trouble is that Warnock doesn't know a good striker when he sees one hence he collects a lot of players that are not strikers that he hopes can 'do a job' for him. Many are good quality acquisitions such as Jamie Mackie and Tommy Smith but they are not the sniffer type that we have been crying out for.
just like to point out that horse sh*t is more effective than Dave as it does have a use on the grass........
Like it Good point there QPAAA. If there's one player Rangers have been crying out for in the last few years its the prolific goal-scorer. The last time we had a player get close to 20 goals was Furs and that was way back in 04/05. We need one now more than ever.
