Dont think you can call anyone who is outside the play offs in Feb contenders. Think you can call teams contenders with a few games to go. When Oldham were 9th if they were classed as contenders, then you can call every team down to 17th a contender as they were only 6 points away from 6th! You can only look at who the contenders are with just a few games to go. Just my opinion. LJ got no failures or successes on his CV. Unless you want to count getting Barnsley to the JPT final. I remember when we knocked you out that cup. All City fans were saying its meaningless as its just a Micky Mouse Cup! Of course though, when you won it last season, it means something all of a sudden. Now its classed as a success
You're having a laugh aren't you? So we couldn't call Leicester title contenders until now then? Or Man City haven't been title contenders all season because they too far behind now and nothing before April counts . And I think I called it a Micky Mouse cup in a previous post I've always thought so and I hope we never play in it again but if you count success against amateur sides at least this is a success against professional ones.
Leicester is a good example. With Leicester, even up to a few weeks ago, most football pundits were still predicting they will drop off and fall away! Thanks for helping me prove my point Lets use Norwich as an example too. In 2009/10 season, Norwich lost their 1st game of the season at home 7-1. Therefore they were bottom of the table. So to you, they must be relegation contenders then! Norwich ended up as champions by 9 points! You cant really tell who are REAL contenders for relegation, play offs and automatics until late in the season, unless its clear what was going to happen like Northampton this season and Villa this season for example! When LG left Oldham in 9th, yes they were 2 points outside the top 6. So were teams down to 13th. And teams down to 17th were just 6 points behind. Sorry but when its thats close, you dont know who are REAL contenders yet!
You can easily tell real contenders for relegation, playoffs and auto's half way through the season, like December
Sometimes you can for auto's and relegation, like I said Northampton and Villa this season. But that dont happen often. But you cant easily tell for play offs as usually 12 or so teams are still in it come December
But didn't you write a thread about us being dead certs for relegation at Christmas? I love it when you make these predictions, on that one you ended up getting relegated. So I'm wondering what's going to happen this year after your 8 game prediction. Sapphire stop getting so ratty and stroppy , your tenner men will start leaking if your not careful
Now you are asking, what upsets me? Mowing the lawn, that really upsets me. Celery! It's ****ing horrible the smell, the texture and the taste. It really upsets me when they put it in lasagna. You start to eat it and it hits you, that really really upsets me in an annoying way and it upsets my stomach. People in work who know the answer, but ask me because they won't take responsibility. That really upsets me. People who ask a question, but then gets confused by the answer, bit like you're sat there now thinking that's not what I meant. If I think of any more I will let you know
