Where do I imply it's good? The only good thing about Tobes being dead is the mafia were probably going to recruit him after his ****up revealed himself
1) possibly they went for Tobes or brb? Or they decided not to act to save kills/recruit? How many kills do they get? (I'll read back now and check) highly unlikely all three were inactive! 2) I'm thinking we have an inactive SK, highly unlikely someone would try to frame the inactive people as the SK just needs to be lowering the numbers. I can't imagine them choosing not to kill so I'm leaning towards an inactive as a SK. 3) I would assume the vigilante chose not to kill until we have a better idea of who people are to avoid killing a town role. Good play from the Vigilante IMO! 4) ACS and Astro have both admitted to saying they would go for one or the other. I'd need to read back to see anyone else. I also don't know if either of them actually pushed for those directions or just said that's what they would be going for. 5) I voted for Tobes and I knew Astro and someone else had voted for him, can't remember who the other person was but someone said they were going for Tobes towards the end of the day I think, I'll look back for it. So my vote might have made him swing...sorry Tobes! I'll highlight my post and comments shortly.
Ok so it was Mikey who had announced he was going for Tobes. My comments RE Tobes. Then Astro confirmed he was going for Tobes, though he had said it before anyone else already and given his reasons far earlier in the day as currently being discussed! No idea if anyone else announced they were going for Tobes and then we also have all the people who didn't say who they voted for who could also have gone for him.
well guys my opinion on this has been posted several times on sign up thread and this thread. IF there is no discussion possible of directions to go each remaining vanilla has to take their own best advice (as I also posted) I hope the town realises that its got to think very hard about the options and figure the good one.... the whole point was to talk. you've just said to mafia don't mention a direction. thats fine as they need to push us one way but at this point the clues are so short it'll be simply down to each vanilla to vote. I think this is a clear case of bottling it BTW. cos nobody knows the reward that we've missed or the punishment we've missed we are willing to carry on without either. I am sure there's people on both sides screaming noooooo right now cos they (good and bad could use the tools)
1) Mafia get 3 kills, 1 recruit and a paper hack so they have enough actions for one per night for the full week with the game designed to last about the five days. Don't see why they would not act? So either they went for Tobes/brb or they have hacked the paper?
The problem is the game mechanic gives me no hope we can derive a #legit winning strategy. It's not like someone knows the good option and has to somehow sneak the information out. There is no way for us to know.
Paper hack is a good shout. Then we can't trust the paper until day 3 when we've had 2 different papers back up which ones were #legit
1) very possible. We've seen both deliberate no action mafia starts before and missed actions. There's four i see. 1. deliberate 2. went for one of two mentioned. 3. tried recruit on unrecruitable player. 4. kill failed (only one option there) 2. Its either active or total sneak again. I've said before SK should be compelled to kill. thats the role. this can happen in that scenario but not killing for an SK is silly (yes valley you) as you end up running out of places to hide before numbers are down. 3. I agree, disciplined play if thats the case. high probability of missing so thanks to you for not topping me whoever you are 4. I read back as well. only spotted a few.. again astro killed that off.. sorry but its true. could have stood back and seen the opinions and nailed a mafia but now we are in can't talk won't talk territory. 5. I think personally the most info out of tobes kills are whoever said they would so it and then did so had balls but if others were seen by mayor sneaking in they could be thinking they had excuse to do so. Equally mafia could have said hey great towns after someone else lets spread votes. what can we learn form this lynch then? In hidden votes if mafia know town are after someone not on their team what would you do? therefore we have a conundrum here. First we are saying its a witch hunt to try talk about direction Second if we pile on someone he mafia can let us as long as its not them. so.... want to talk baout CL matches o nthis thread til 9pm tomorrow then guys? we're making it piss easy right now.
ok seems plausible. how would action work in this scenario. lets think on the prethread and this thread.. how does the action work do we know? To choose hack tonight they would need to say we hack paper prior to 9pm not knowing whats going to be in it. On the other hand if they killed tonight then we'd know paper was clean tomorrow. On the left foot.... when i ran a paper game (astro you ran first ever one so chime in) I offered mafia each day the paper and said hack or no hack. we don't know how this is done in this game. on the last appendage i am counting with.... if the mafia did hack in day time then woudl the following night be no action. therefore......... perhaps paper will be instant hacked. but surely they'd have to be offering to put in something good? they only get the one.. they have to make it count?
remember power of hack is we can't trust our known source of an investigate. the journo sits hidden feeding info to town so the balance is the hack to sew doubt. I'll predict we'll be wondering about paper each day
final point. mafia know what bad option is right now. how bad do they need the punishment on us? lets see if this bottler's tactic of dare not speak of the directions means one is going to have to try and say something.
ok so, next mafia game we play, if Tobes or Gerrez are the first killed, I am just gonna stop playing. Seriously, voting for someone because of their football team is ****ing ******ed, and we lost a town role......****ing idiots.
@5 - if I was Mafia and the town seemed to be going for someone I'd just whack my vote on someone not involved incase the mayor sees the vote. No need for them to join in if town are already lynching someone who isn't one of them. Unless Mafia think they know someone has a role, or is particularly important and want to see them swing in which case they might add a vote in there to make sure, but this early I think that's unlikely. I also don't think there will be more than 1 Mafia voting for any one person yet unless one of there own was at risk, or if they thought that, since DPP seemed to be the only person I can think of who had two people announce a vote for him I'd assume there would only be more than one Mafia vote on Tobes max unless DPP was a bad guy. So im not sure that we can tell much from the votes on Tobes unless either someone voting for him turns out to be scum or if DPP is scum.
In fairness on read back I think A. Chaos was on tobes for priors. I saw him early on doing this. B. Afc says he voted. C. Mikey was reported here. D. Astro called him so should have voted. That's 4 I count before any other evidence so I don't think Bar one there was any club stuff in there.
Well so far we know Astro, Mikey and me voted for Tobes, so only one of them could possibly have voted for him based on who he supports, Astro, but Astro gave pretty good logic for going for him I thought... So unless it was others who have stayed quiet and not announced there vote it doesn't look like he died because of his football team! Though I agree with the general point you are making!
Didn't notice chaos on him! Good catch! Was chaos the first vote on him then? And then he proceeded to stay quiet the entire day until after night fall? I'm banking a vote for Chaos for now..
