A very versatile food. So many ways to do them. How do you like yours? I like fried, soft boiled with dippy soldiers. Poached on toast, scrambled's not bad. I prefer the yolk runny like unless I've dipped bread in it & chucked it in the frying pan.
Eggs any way for me. So long as they're not over or under cooked. Rubber and slime aren't very nice textures.
Daughter has a small holding with hens, out of the chicken, into the pan into me. Beautiful in every way.
What's the best, caged or free range? I used to buy mine off the blokes ower the allotments. Always tasted better for some reason. Used to get duck eggs as well.
I remember it was taken very seriously when they used to have an Easter Monday competition at Ryhope Pops Club..
I thought I did when I was buying them at Tesco's. Then I found out that that could mean them being outside something ridiculous, like an hour a day, or something daft like that. Just when you think you can't be fooled anymore, Tesco's find another way to say **** you!
We still take it seriously in my family, I mean not really but we all secretly want to win. We always dye the eggs red with onion skins.
