Both Sky and the BBC are reporting it On the bright side, it was rejected, with the club saying they expect him to honour his commitment to the club. The owners must feel the best way is to keep him here and try to break the top 4 in the next couple of years, or to sell in the summer of course. He cannot sulk about it though, he won't get in the Spain team otherwise
I've got that sinking feeling in my stomach, like I've been dumped or something! How could he do this to us??
Come on Red, at least its not as bad as the spilt disappointment of when Owen left and then ended up you know where
Don't believe Sky garbage. As for the BBC, it only states that we rejected a bid from Chelsea, not the transfer request. For me, it is not official until the club release a statement. So don't get hyped up yet!
I know, It's just we're finally playing well and so is he. Suarez will need at least half a season to adapt to the PL and without Torres, we have no strikers (who can score), so we'd pretty much be relying on Suarez being an immediate hit! Plus this will hit team moral too. I think it's so disrespectful on his part not to wait until the summer.
It's been reported everywhere. All over twitter and all the rags. I'm pretty sure Liverpool gave a statement so it is 100% true.
I agree; there has been nothing official. How many times was it reported we had signed Suarez before it finally happened? All false alarms. Rumours get thrown around like nobody's business in January. He won't leave now, the question is whether he will put in his all from now until summer.
Liverpool haven't given a statement, you're talking **** to backup whatever claims you have. The fact is, there isn't any proof - just speculation.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/9380389.stm Oh dear. This is very depressing.
The Club said in a statement: "Fernando Torres tonight submitted a written transfer request, which has been rejected by Liverpool. "Fernando is under a long-term contract and the Club expects him to honour the commitment he made to Liverpool FC and its supporters when he signed the agreement." Have some egg for your face
I said recently that I didn't like being the bully in a transfer when talking about Adam. I'd rather that than this though.... PS Batmanuel EbouÃÆÃâÃâ ââ¬â¢ÃÆââ¬Â âââ‰â¢ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâé & Robin Van Persie, Torres at Chelsea wouldn't be a good thing for you anyway, so I don't know why your here boasting
Dan Roan(BBC)is quoting LFC as stating he DID hand in a transfer request tonight which was rejected. http://twitter.com/danroan
First off why in the **** are you even on our board talking about Torres? It's not like he is going to go to Le Arse... So instead of telling some of us to have some egg for our faces, you should just **** off.
What was Torres thinking then when he made his speech about wanting to stay for his contract?! What's so great about Chelsea ffs.
