http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-36014630 A touch of class from someone much maligned on this forum, myself included. Well done JT.
It is hard to criticise Terry in this instance but........if I were the family, I would tell him where to stick his money. Some things are worth more than money and a little child's funeral is one such thing. Just my opinion.
Fair play to him.......but the only thing that I find a tad odd is that a "family friend" of the parents contacted him in Instagram asking him if he would like to contribute to the costs of the funeral.......erm.....why would they do that? It kind of put him in a very awkward position in that he probably felt compelled to to do this.........not saying he didn't do it out of kindness........
I guess a nice gesture though. Perhaps the family didn't have the money to provide their child with a proper funeral? Based on JT's reported £150,000/week salary, £1600 would be just under 2 hours of his time based on £892/hr earned. Some positive publicity for him, so good ROI no doubt. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ew-one-year-Chelsea-pay-as-you-play-deal.html
Guys, it's a kind gesture and I suspect made with no expectation of return (he does not need it!) so well done him.
I put a pound in a beggar's paper cup and then I molested some children. About the same? At least give me the credit of being extremely generous.
