I'm quite surprised by this post, Chazz; although I thoroughly agree with most of it and have been consistent in wanting an anti-Allam approach for a couple of years. I take it your advice is not a reflection of your personal view?

I totally agree that, as the Vice-Chair of HCST, PLT must come to grips with how venting his personal views so publicly is not conducive to his Trust being available, open and actively seeking dialogue with the club; if they have informal contact then it must also place that contact in a difficult position. It makes no sense at all and I am surprised the other Board members tolerate it.

What are the 'huge errors with their stated aims'?

I'm not waiting for anything. There's more chance of me taking Cheryl what's her name from behind than the "club" allowing fans to have a say. And if a working group started by the club, attended by representatives invited by the club doesn't work, how the hell is any other group going to make a difference.

The FWG is a discussion I've had with Fez, and he takes your view that it should be vetoed. I can understand that view.

My view is that, as all the attendees are not all invited by the club and not all are representative of any particular section of fans, there is something of an opportunity to use this as a basis for dialogue, albeit a far from ideal one granted.

Either way could ultimately be the right one or both could be wrong, I'm not pushing mine over others (well not much) I just offer it as a talking point.

Many, but a diminishing number of season ticket cards.

For many (some you know) it has been easier to not renew their season ticket. Cause and effect - a simple fish-bone diagram would prove beneficial; one for Trust membership and one for club membership/attendance? I think the actions of the Allams would dominate throughout and not in a good way.

Aye for OLm to say numbers only go up when there is a crisis is ridiculous. The Trust should be making hay here.

Eh?? Dont you think the membership bollocks isnt a crisis and a reason for a Trust to get new members and represent them?? Because I do.

I think when the club finally get around to deciding the final version of the membership scheme and the Trust issues a response to it, they'll probably gain a load of new/renewing members, assuming they agree with whatever stance the Trust takes.

My point is that people don't generally feel motivated to join a trust unless they're riled up about something. Most people simply can't be arsed, even when they agree with what a trust is trying to achieve.

Seemingly, until fans saw that the membership scheme needed tweaking, things have been okay in Tiger Land since the name change. Hence the numbers.

I guess that's why the Trust are not an anti-Allam group.

Some of the trust are anti-Allam, some aren't. What don't you understand Dutch?

I've said several times that I understand that. That's why that wasn't the point of the post you quoted.

Your apology is accepted, but I think you've got the wrong idea of what the discussion you've quoted is about.

Group numbers go up in times of crisis.

Group numbers haven't gone up as yet.

The discussion just doesn't seem to be the one you think it is, but there it is.

Meh... Olm and others have told you why there is a drop in membership, but you seem to ignore these explanations?

I haven't ignored them, I've answered them, but those answers seem to be the ones being ignored.

None of your answers were specific explanations to why the trust membership hasn't increased during what is seemingly a time of crisis. They're simply general opinions on general situations. It's all they can be because nobody has looked specifically at the trust, or Hull City supporters to find out why they're not joining.

We're told numbers increase at times of crisis. Numbers seemingly haven't gone up, so either there isn't a crisis, people are happy with the Allams or...?

Finding out that answer could just help focus on the best way of helping City fans improve the matchday experience and the club. Surely that's a positive, and a good thing that's worth exploring?

****ing hell kemps olm says membership only increases when theres summat to complain about!!! We have a huge thing to complain about, this new membership bollocks. Scrapping the concessions as well. And you're happy to buy that. As Dmd keeps saying why so defensive??
Yet the Trust are going to issue a questionaire after the revised scheme comes out.
    Really??

Aye, campaigning about a scheme that people haven't got the details of yet would be a brilliant idea.

Might be a tad embarrassing if they subsequently announce all passes are £100 next season, but other than that it's a great idea. :emoticon-0112-wonde
