Haha called it again! Nobody could have predicted him hitting two into the creek though, incredible stuff. To answer canadas question, I don't think a Yorkshireman has won it before

Probably gonna be the best sporting achievement for England this year, bar Team GB repeating 2012 (unlikely, being hosts always has that successful effect) or Woy somehow winning the Euros.

Got the itch...my local club is opening next Saturday for the season. It's ****ing - 1 degree Centigrade & snowing at the moment. I'm off to buy some yellow balls...

No faith in Woy's team or our lot in Brazil this summer then ?
Surely we have a good chance for an Englishman to win at the Crucible in May ?

I have zero faith in Woy, the man's a buffoon who will play the big names rather than the actual good players. We're clearly much better with players like Alli, Vardy, Dier, etc. in the side over Rooney, but Woy will revert to type because he's too afraid to go for it in the tournaments.

I have a lot of confidence in Team GB, but we won't get as many medals as 2012, that was absolutely helped by us being the hosts.

Don't think the snooker, as much as I love it, can really be considered up there with stuff like The Masters, World Cup, Olympics et al.

Retaining the Ryder Cup will be up there too, but that's Europe, not just England/GB.

Oh, I forgot the Six Nations, that was pretty good. The T20 was nearly superb anarl until the very last over.

Aye...never been the same since we lost the empire.

Probably still have a good chance with this though...

I didn't think so, until today. the closest I could come to one doing anything in any of golf's major's was Colin Montgomerie, who was born in Scotland but brought up & educated in Yorkshire (Leeds Grammar School, Ilkley Golf Club. The bastard at least had 5 runners-up spots in majors.
Well done Danny for sure - at least he'll stop Montgomerie from bragging about his success as a pseudo, even plastic, Yorkshireman.

Can't agree on that one, he's the best since Tiger Woods. I did say something dramatic was needed which he provided however unlikely but it was in my mind that he could still close Willett down. If anything this blow-up will make Spieth odds a bit nicer before events, I would back him every Major he plays in. Nice to know now that he has the ability to self-destruct given his last two rounds but he still led 7 consecutive rounds at Augusta

I love Monty, his commentary is brilliant and he was a joy to watch too as a player. Will let him off being a plastic Yorkshireman!

well that was fun wasn`t it, e/w bets on Willett (66/1), Westwood (200/1) and Johnson (18/1) brought home the tidy sum of £227 and bits, after the debacle of Huddersfield life all of a sudden feels a little better.

A few people i know backed Westwood, all my bets unfortunately died, I even got a refund on Els from my bookie only to put it on Casey who finished 4th at 100/1, first 3 for me of course...
