Ozil and Cazorla rated best midfielders in Europe

My opinion on this has been consistent throughout. The point on Milner was to highlight the irrelevance of assist stats- that even such a limited player in an average side can look good if you think assists are worthy of much mention. Matt Phillips got loads of assists for QPR last season- he still was and is ****.

 

Ok Mr assists don't matter so let me show you these assist stats.

 

Rihad Mahrez has 17 goals and 11 assists in 30 appearances ... does that mean he's better than Ozil then?.
