The cricket season is here.....and all is well with the world!
County Championship, 50 Overs, 20/20.....love it all.
Gloucestershire off to a reasonable start away to Essex; Somerset
    looking shaky away to Durham.

Test matches, Championship, yes 50 overs OK but I would rather watch village green cricket than 20/20. Gloucester C C for promotion this year

Because they are a 'County' side and not some pathetic bums on seats plastic franchise outfit. I'm with OT, I'd rather watch B & D league cricket than watch our so say elite players making fools of themselves in a game of who can hit the ball the hardest and farthest.

Interesting to see how the new rule about the visiting captain being able to elect to bowl first works out

Tough opener for Gloucs at Essex

Bristol is a County on its own right which is why I am confused. I dont have knowledge of anything cricket related so I dont know if Glos was previously in Glos and moved to Bristol like when we moved to Bath <ok>

I have just spoken to Clos. C. C and been advised that when the cricket club was formed in the 1870s Bristol was Gloucestershire. Hope that helps CJS
