Well now is their "growing up" moment. Do they want to get something out of the Leicester game in the quest to get proper UEFA football, or is it 'anyone but Spurs' small club syndrome ??
If he can actually stay fit for the next 6 days then I have a feeling Carroll may well cause the Leicester defence some problems. And that will be 2 games running that I will be cheering on the Spammers. Ugh!!!! Makes me feel dirty just saying it
I've just realised that we've played Utd twice this season now and they managed a whole two shots on target over the 180 minutes. That's ridiculous enough, but only getting three points is a bit ****.
It used to be two shots on target every 180 seconds The set up of the team and the failure to move the ball quickly means Utd don't get many clear shots at goal
The Foxes will be running scared after watching our game today. Should they lose their next game or even the game after that against Swansea., they will not win another one this season. That's my prediction for them now. ''Their nerves will be at them''...as my gypsy friends would say.
we've got problems of our own though. Our next 3 matches are all on Monday nights, where we'll know the results of all the other fixtures over the weekend. Completely unfair psychologically, as we'll always be the ones under pressure, not once, but 3 times. It's disgraceful that just because of TV that this is allowed to happen.
It's all about how you look at it. Everyone is under pressure to win. Dier summed it up in his pre-match interview when he said that they had to win regardless of what we did against Sunderland.
All the games are must win now (they effectively are once you enter the final third of the season) . What may change is the scope for not winning may decrease before each of those games. Yet if Spurs do actually prevail under these conditions, then the squad mentality will be even stronger for next season, and the triumph greater.
Great result and well deserved since United were awful. Not our best performance today though, lots of slack passing and touches throughout the game. When we got things going though we really stuck it to them, even in the first half we always looked dangerous when we got forward. Rose was excellent and MOTM for me. Dembele, Lamela and Eriksen all did really well too. Kane would've probably done better if Smalling stopped fouling him for 10 seconds. Dean is ****. Can't see us winning the league now. We'd have to win all 5 of our remaining games to give ourselves a chance but I expect we'll drop some points in the run in, lots of tough games ahead. Hopefully I'm wrong.
Oh and fantastic atmosphere. Don't like the "you're ****ing ****" chant but it felt damn good singing it to United.
This was the win we wanted and the performance we wanted.Well done Spurs.Best footballing team in the PL now......pity about those silly 0-1's!....which should have been,at least,4-1 win's to us. Oh those parked buses.......
