as well as challenge for the top 4, the man is an absolute miracle worker. My point is that it is almost impossible to envision you - or anyone for that matter, I would've said the same thing about Spurs last season - progressing that quickly...so how exactly is this 'prize' a reward?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but finishing in the top 4 is usually a better indication of preparedness for CL level than progress in the EL? And if a team is regularly top 4, what do they need the EL for unless they stupidly do a United and fail to qualify from the easiest group in the tournament and the EL then offers them another backhanded roll of the dice...
