So the next time the season ticket holders vote on the name change the owners will get the result they want. The only ones left will be those who say its his club, he paid, he can do what he wants. If you don't like it buy the club from him it is for sale you know.

From a supporters point of view going up & staying up long term will be ****e. I speak regularly to some Stokie supporters & they're bored ****less. They'd prefer a season, or few, in a relegation fight & a possible, subsequent, promotion push rather than be sat mid-table every year hoping for a cup run. Our crowds will dwindle significantly the longer we stay in the PL, if we get there. Having the extra pounds next season won't make a jot of a difference to our ability to stay in the league. It's not as if it'd be just us getting the money, every other club gets it too. It may assist in the owner's quest to sell the club, it may, initially, increase attendances, albeit with superficial PL whores, but that's about it. We, along with every other club, will just end up paying higher transfer fees for similarly moderate players to those we have now as well as having to pay them much higher salaries compared to what we had to pay last time. The money won't go in the bank, pay off debts, improve facilities, lower ticket prices for all etc. The money will be spent feathering the bank accounts of other clubs, **** players & agents whilst we & around a dozen other clubs play a football lottery where the winners finish 17th or above. I can't stand the PL because it represents most of what I find abhorrent in modern day football. Fickle PL supporters, money, Football Manager experts, money, mercenary players, money, agents, money, soulless stadiums, money, cheating players, money, **** third rate punditry, money, lack of Sat 3pm KOs, money, stats, money, all seater stadiums, money, unnecessarily high ticket prices, money, TV games, money, overbearing sponsorship, money, people who think getting to the PL is important because we get money, money. I'd prefer it if we didn't go up, although I'd celebrate as much as any other supporter if we did. That doesn't mean I don't want us to win every game, I do. I also like it when have a competitive chance in every game, which is more than we'll get in the PL, but hey, according to some, we 'll only need to finish 17th to consider it a successful season so we can get more money. I have a more enjoyable match day experience along with far better value for money in the lower leagues. I'm not that arsed about the money. The Premier League, been there, done that, it was ****. I can, & would prefer to, live without it
I'm staggered that Stoke's crowds would be dwindling when they're pushing further up the table and making higher quality signings. They're a year or so away from genuinely challenging for Europe year on year with the squad they're building. This hatred for money is crazy as well. Saying you hate money is to suggest that you'd rather the club not be self-sustaining and spiralling down the divisions.
One place I've never been and will not make it this time as in the land of Oz trying to find somewhere showing our shower - not easy. What's wrong with the place?

I suppose it's not entirely true. You could probably survive off the Football League TV money and gate receipts and be a lower Championship club.
Trouble is mate all that ****ing about is filtering down to the championship. How many games have we had moved? ****ing Friday night coming up. How **** is that. We should always want to be in the top league or trying to be in it. I want to be in the PL challenging against the best otherwise what's the point. I think for too long we were ****. Which has given a typical City mindset to a far too many long term supporters. The AN weekly thing is always we doubt it but with a little hope, God we miss torquey longing every week. Why? Be positive want to win for your town your city your club your team. And if we don't win don't distance yourself from the defeat. Don't look to blame a player a manager every single ****ing time. Great post Though i did regret thumbing it to watch city at qpr years ago when i didnt get any decent lifts and never got home till the monday. i was wishing i hadnt gone. Still i got an extra day off school.
for me it's the social aspect, the people out on the pitch don't change that but it's always a bonus seeing city at a high level prices though proper piss me off would rather have £10 a ticket, £2 for a lush pie and be in the conference i think my perfect world city would be winning league two and league one over and over
